The story of a friend who saw an angel protecting the Prophet Muhammad SAW during the war

-- Prophet Muhammad SAW always received the protection of Allah SWT when he fought in a war. One of the friends of the Prophet SAW also became a witness to what he knew. 

Narrated from Sa'ad bin Abi Waqash RA, he said:

- رَأَيْتُ عن يَمِينِ رَسولِ اللهْ َعَنْ شِمَالِهِ يَومَ أُحُدٍ رَجُلَيْنِ عليهما ثِيَابُ بَيَاضٍ، ما God willing َ عليهما السَّلَامُ. 

"On the day of the battle of Uhud, I saw two people dressed in white. Each of them was on the right and left of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam) whom I had never seen before or after. They were Jibril and Mikail 'alaihimas salam." (HR. Muslim)

This hadith shows that Allah SWT protected His messenger. In this case, Allah SWT gave protection to the Prophet Muhammad SAW in the war that he SAW went through. 

Allah SWT sent angels to fight with the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The wars in question are the Battle of Badr and the Battle of Uhud as well as other wars. 

From that hadith, Sa'ad bin Abi Waqqash RA said that he saw two men who fought to defend the Prophet Muhammad SAW during the Battle of Uhud. The two men wore white clothes. 

Saad bin Abi Waqash had never seen the two men before. And after the war, he didn't see either of them again. What Saad bin Abi Waqash saw was an angel. The angels fought the fiercest war among the descendants of Adam. 

The participation of angels in war is a sign that Allah SWT glorifies the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Allah SWT also pays attention to the forms and provisions or rules set for His servants. 

Because if Allah SWT willed, He would definitely drive out the unbelievers with a feather from an angel's wing. On the other hand, even without sending down angels, Allah SWT knows better how the angels fight, their weapons and their horses. 

The Battle of Uhud occurred in the month of Shawwal in the third year of the Hijrah. Uhud is one of the mountains in Medina. Most of the Companions of the Prophet SAW became martyrs in that battle.

 -- Nabi Muhammad SAW selalu mendapatkan perlindungan Allah SWT saat beliau bertempur dalam sebuah peperangan. Salah seorang sahabat Nabi SAW pun menjadi saksi atas apa yang diketahuinya itu.

Diriwayatkan dari Sa'ad bin Abi Waqash RA, dia berkata:

- رَأَيْتُ عن يَمِينِ رَسولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عليه وَسَلَّمَ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ يَومَ أُحُدٍ رَجُلَيْنِ عليهما ثِيَابُ بَيَاضٍ، ما رَأَيْتُهُما قَبْلُ وَلَا بَعْدُ، يَعْنِي جِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ عليهما السَّلَامُ.

"Di hari terjadinya perang Uhud, aku melihat dua orang berpakaian putih-putih. Masing-masing berada di kanan dan kiri Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam yang aku tidak pernah melihat keduanya sebelum dan sesudah itu. Mereka ialah Jibril dan Mikail 'alaihimas salam." (HR. Muslim)

Hadits tersebut menunjukkan, Allah SWT melindungi rasul-Nya. Dalam hal ini, Allah SWT memberikan perlindungan kepada Nabi Muhammad SAW dalam peperangan yang dilalui oleh beliau SAW.

Allah SWT mengirim malaikat untuk ikut berperang bersama Nabi Muhammad SAW. Perang yang dimaksud adalah Perang Badar dan Perang Uhud serta perang-perang lainnya.

Dari hadits itu juga, Sa'ad bin Abi Waqqash RA memberitahukan bahwa dia melihat dua sosok lelaki yang turut berperang membela Nabi Muhammad SAW pada masa Perang Uhud. Dua lelaki tersebut mengenakan pakaian putih.

Saad bin Abi Waqash belum pernah melihat dua sosok lelaki itu sebelumnya. Dan setelah perang pun, dia tidak melihat lagi keduanya. Apa yang dilihat oleh Saad bin Abi Waqash adalah malaikat. Para malaikat berperang paling sengit di antara anak keturunan Adam.

Keikutsertaan malaikat dalam perang merupakan tanda bahwa Allah SWT memuliakan Nabi Muhammad SAW. Allah SWT juga memperhatikan bentuk dan ketentuan atau aturan yang ditetapkan untuk para hamba-Nya.

Sebab seandainya Allah SWT menghendaki, Dia pasti akan mengusir orang-orang kafir dengan sehelai bulu dari sayap malaikat. Sebaliknya, tanpa menurunkan malaikat pun, Allah SWT lebih mengetahui bagaimana para malaikat berperang, alat perangnya, dan kudanya.

Pertempuran Uhud terjadi pada bulan Syawal pada tahun ketiga Hijrah. Uhud adalah salah satu gunung di Madinah. Sebagian besar Sahabat Nabi SAW menjadi syahid dalam pertempuran itu.
