The KKB of the Egianus Kogoya leaders asked for money and weapons as a Philips release requirement.
"Oh it's impossible, cook barter weapons to (with) rebels?" Mahfud added, the government and authorities were regulating tactics and strategies to be able to free Philips.
"But it is impossible for us to give, one independence. Second, give weapons and so on to the criminal, "Mahfud said. Search operations against Philips still continued to enter the 22nd day on Wednesday (1/3/2023) today.
As for Philips, who was a new Zealand citizen, brought five passengers with PK-BVY registration number and landed at Paro Airport, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains, on Tuesday (7/2/2023). However, shortly after landing, the plane was burned by KKB leadership of Egianus Kogoya.

While Philips is still taken by KKB. In the video spread on the KKB on social media, they initially asked Indonesia to acknowledge the Free Papua.
"We bring this pilot because Indonesia has never recognized Papua Free, so we arrested the pilot. Because all countries have to open the eyes about Papua free," said one of the KKB people in the video received by Kompas .com.
However, the latest news delivered by the Papua Regional Police Chief Inspector Mathius D Fakhiri, Egianus Kogoya conveyed a request as a condition that Philips pilot can be free. "He never conveyed the demands to be able to replace weapons and money," Mathius said in Mimika on Thursday (02/23/2023) It will actually worsen the situation.
