– The Bir Thaflah Well is a historical place in Islam located in the Ji'ranah region, Saudi Arabia, which is located not far from the Ji'ronah Mosque or about 30 km from the city of Mecca.
Muslims believe that this spring is not just any place, but a special well which witnessed the miracles of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

The account owner said that in the past, Rasulullah SAW and his friends were traveling from Medina to Mecca for Umrah. On the way they found the well.
"The water in this well previously tasted salty, because it is not too far from the Red Sea," said the uploader.
Because he needed a source of water for his journey, Rasulullah SAW spat on the well water until it tasted fresh and was suitable for consumption. "That's why this well is called Bir Thaflah, which means spit," said the account owner.
Bir Thaflah is also one of the wells that has the taste of fresh water. However, local residents admit that it is very difficult to get fresh water in the area.
Meanwhile, another story related to the well tells that in the past, after the Hunain war, Rasulullah SAW and his companions ran out of water while passing through the Ji'ranah area. They then looked for a water supply, but there was no well.
Because the supply of water ran out, Rasulullah SAW hit his stick and immediately water came out which became the beginning of this well. Since then, until now the water in the Bir Thaflah well has never dried up.
Apart from that, the water of this well is also believed to be able to cure diseases, so it attracts many pilgrims to visit it.
As a result of this, the Saudi Arabian government also put up an announcement stating that the water in the Bir Thaflah well is ordinary water as water in general so that Hajj or Umrah pilgrims avoid idolatry.

– Sumur Bir Thaflah merupakan tempat bersejarah dalam Islam yang berada di wilayah Ji'ranah, Arab Saudi yang letaknya tak jauh dari Masjid Ji’ronah atau sekitar 30 km dari Kota Mekah.
Umat Muslim meyakini sumber mata air ini bukan tempat sembarangan, melainkan sumur Istimewa yang menjadi saksi mukjizat Nabi Muhammad SAW.
Dilihat melalui unggahan akun Instagram @almanmulyana15, Rabu 13 Maret 2024 tampak sumur ini masih berdiri kokoh dan masih mengeluarkan air hingga sekarang.
Pemilik akun mengisahkan, dahulu Rasulullah SAW bersama para sahabat sedang menempuh perjalanan dari Madinah ke Mekah untuk umrah. Di tengah perjalanan mereka menemukan sumur tersebut.
“Air di sumur ini tadinya rasanya asin, karena jaraknya tidak terlalu jauh dari Laut Merah,” kata pengunggah.
Lantaran membutuhkan sumber air untuk bekal perjalanan, Rasulullah SAW meludahi air sumur tersebut hingga rasanya berubah menjadi tawar dan layak dikonsumsi. “Makanya sumur ini dinamakan Bir Thaflah yang artinya ludah,” demikian pemilik akun.
Bir Thaflah juga menjadi salah satu sumur yang memiliki rasa air tawar. Padahal diakui penduduk sekitar, sangat sulit untuk mendapatkan air tawar di daerah tersebut.
Adapun, kisah lain terkait sumur tersebut mengisahkan dahulu, setelah perang Hunain, Rasulullah SAW bersama para sahabat kehabisan air saat melintas di wilayah Ji'ranah. Mereka kemudian mencari persediaan air, namun di sana tidak ada sumur.
Karena persedi air habis, Rasulullah SAW memukulkan tongkatnya dan seketika keluarlah air yang menjadi cikal bakal sumur ini. Sejak saat itu, hingga kini air di sumur Bir Thaflah tak pernah kering.
Selain itu, air sumur ini juga dipercaya dapat menyembuhkan penyakit, hingga banyak menarik minat jemaah untuk mengunjunginya.
Akibat hal itu, pemerintah Arab Saudi pun memasang pengumuman yang menyampaikan bahwa air di sumur Bir Thaflah merupakan air biasa sebagai air pada umumnya agar jemaah haji atau umrah terhindar dari kemusyrikan.
