The following are world figures who are descendants of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ or known as Dzurriyah Nabi. Among them there are those who are kings in their country, there are also scholars who are highly respected. 

The origins of the descendants of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ who are now spread throughout the world began with the emigration of Imam Ahmad bin Isa Al-Muhajir from Basrah (Iraq) to Hadhramaut Yemen and his descendants there. Ahmad bin Isa (died 345 AH), was called Al-Muhajir because he left Basrah during the reign of the Abbasid Caliph in Baghdad 317 AH (896 AD). 
In Indonesia, descendants of the Prophet Muhammad are often called Habib. This term is more popular than "Sayyid or Sharif" even though both are intended to refer to the lineage of the Prophet (Ahlul Bait). 

In several Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Libya, Tunisia, the descendants of the Prophet Muhammad are not nicknamed Habib. They are better known by the nickname "Al-Hasani" to emphasize that they have a lineage from Sayyidina Hasan bin Ali radhiyallahu 'anhu. In Iran it is popularly known as Ahlu Bait.

1. Habib Umar bin Hafidz, great Yemeni cleric


Al-Habib Umar bin Hafiz (born 27 May 1963) is a great scholar of Hadhramaut Yemen who is the 39th generation direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. His lineage was connected to the Prophet ﷺ with the Abu Bakar bin Salim (BSA) clan via the Sayyidina Husain bin Ali radhiyallahu 'anhu. 
His character as a scholar and spiritual guide made him known throughout the world, including in Southeast Asia. The Ba 'Alawi Tariqah expanded its influence over hundreds of millions of Muslims throughout the world. He was named the most influential Muslim figure in the world in The World's 500 Influential Muslims (influential Muslim figures in the world) in 2024. 2. Jordanian King Abdullah II Al-Husain


Abdullah II Al-Husein (born 30 January 1962) is the King of Jordan who is a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad, 41st generation. From his name, he is related to Dzurriyah Nabi from the line of Husain bin Ali radhiyallahu 'anhu. The Hashemite dynasty is the second oldest ruling dynasty in the world, after Japan. As the current bearer of the Hashemite legacy, HM King Abdullah II has unique prestige in the Islamic world. Apart from being the Guardian of the Muslim and Christian Holy Sites in Jerusalem (and of course Jordan itself), he was ranked 5th in The World's 500 Influential Muslims (influential Muslim figures in the world) in 2024.

3. Shaykh Ahmad Al-Thayyib, Great Egyptian Ulama

4. Habib Ali Al-Jufri, Ulama who lives in the UAE


Habib Ali Al-Jufri (born 16 April 1971), is a great scholar who now lives in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Habib Ali Al-Jufri was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and studied in Hadhramaut, Yemen. He is a scholar descended from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with the Al-Jufri clan, his lineage is connected via the Sayyidina Husein line. Habib Ali Zain al-Abidin bin Abdurrahman bin Ali is a leading Islamic scholar and famous lecturer in the Muslim world. Al-Jifri is Director General of the Tabah Foundation in the UAE, a board member of Dar al-Mustafa in Yemen, a member of the Royal Aal Al-Bayt Institute of Islamic Thought in Jordan, and affiliated with various other international Islamic organizations. 5. Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah Leader


Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah (born August 31, 1960) is known as the leader of Hezbollah. He has served as Secretary General of Lebanon's third political and paramilitary party, Hezbollah, since his predecessor Abbas al-Musawi was killed by Israeli forces. He is included in the 28th list of influential Muslim figures in the world in The World's 500 Influential Muslims (influential Muslim figures in the world) in 2024. Hezbollah is a Shia Islamic political party. Nasrallah is often referred to as al-Sayyid Hassan which indicates that he is a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through the path of Husain bin Ali. His popularity peaked after the 2006 conflict with Israel, when many Sunni Muslims viewed him as a figure of dissident opposition to Israel.

Like Sayyed Hossein Nasr, a University Professor of Islamic Studies at George Washington University. Then Sayyid Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas (ranked 48th in The World's 500 Influential Muslims in 2024), was born in Bogor, West Java. Now a Muslim scholar and philosopher in Malaysia. Al-Attas founded a higher education institution called the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC) in Kuala Lumpur.

Berikut tokoh dunia yang merupakan keturunan Nabi Muhammad ﷺ atau dikenal dengan Dzurriyah Nabi. Di antara mereka ada yang menjadi raja di negaranya, ada juga kalangan ulama yang sangat dihormati.

Asal-usul keturunan Nabi Muhammad ﷺ yang kini tersebar di penjuru dunia bermula dari Hijrahnya Imam Ahmad bin Isa Al-Muhajir dari Basrah (Irak) ke Hadhramaut Yaman dan berketurunan di sana. Ahmad bin Isa (wafat 345 H), dinamakan Al-Muhajir karena beliau meninggalkan Basrah di masa pemerintahan Khalifah Abbassiyah di Baghdad 317 H (896 M).

4. Habib Ali Al-Jufri, Ulama yang Bermukim di UEA


Habib Ali Al-Jufri (lahir 16 April 1971), adalah seorang ulama besar yang kini bermukim di Abu Dhabi, Uni Emirat Arab. Habib Ali Al-Jufri lahir di Jeddah Arab Saudi dan menimba ilmu di Hadhramaut Yaman. Beliau merupakan ulama keturunan Nabi Muhammad ﷺ dengan marga Al-Jufri, nasabnya tersambung lewat jalur Sayyidina Husein. Habib Ali Zain al-Abidin bin Abdurrahman bin Ali adalah seorang ulama Islam terkemuka dan penceramah yang masyhur di dunia Muslim. Al-Jifri adalah Direktur Jenderal Yayasan Tabah di UEA, anggota dewan Dar al-Mustafa di Yaman, anggota Institut Pemikiran Islam Royal Aal Al-Bayt di Yordania, dan berafiliasi dengan berbagai organisasi Islam internasional lainnya.
