PD on the SBY-Anies Meeting: Discuss the Deteriorating State Administration
The Vice President of the Coalition for Change for Unity, Anies Baswedan, met with the Chairman of the Democratic Party's Upper House Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) in Pacitan, East Java. The two of them discussed constitutional matters which were considered to be getting worse.
"We had long discussions, especially discussing the worsening situation of democracy and state administration," said Head of the Strategic Communications Agency/DPP Spokesperson Coordinator for the Democratic Party Herzaky in his statement, Thursday (1/6/2023).
This situation, explained Herzaky, made the Change Coalition for Unity even more determined to accelerate consolidation. Herzaky added that his party had read the mood of the people who wanted improvement, especially in state governance, political ethics, law enforcement and corrupt practices which often color state management.
"The principles of decency are increasingly being abandoned by the leaders. The people's sense of justice is torn apart. These things have become a big agenda for which we will seek solutions in the future," he continued.
Anies, SBY, and Democratic cadres discussed what should be done. Apart from constitutional matters, Anies's options for vice presidential candidate were also discussed.
"Pak Anies, assisted by Team 8, is finalizing the options for potential partners. After the final, we will look for a good day to announce it. In the meeting we discussed more strategic matters, not technically discussing the time of the declaration," he said.
PD soal Pertemuan SBY-Anies: Bahas Ketatanegaraan yang Makin Memburuk
Bacapres Koalisi Perubahan untuk Persatuan, Anies Baswedan, bertemu dengan Ketua Majelis Tinggi Partai Demokrat Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) di Pacitan, Jawa Timur. Keduanya membahas mengenai ketatanegaraan yang dinilai makin memburuk.
"Kami berdiskusi panjang, terutama banyak membahas situasi demokrasi dan ketatanegaraan yang makin memburuk," ujar Kepala Badan Komunikasi Strategis/Koordinator Juru Bicara DPP Partai Demokrat Herzaky dalam keterangannya, Kamis (1/6/2023).
Keadaan tersebut, jelas Herzaky, membuat Koalisi Perubahan untuk Persatuan semakin bertekad melakukan akselerasi konsolidasi. Herzaky menambahkan pihaknya telah membaca suasana batin rakyat yang menghendaki perbaikan, terutama dalam tata kelola negara, etika politik, penegakkan hukum, dan praktik korupsi yang kiat mewarnai pengelolaan negara.
"Asas-asas kepatutan semakin ditinggalkan oleh para pemimpin. Rasa keadilan rakyat terkoyak. Hal-hal ini menjadi agenda besar yang akan kita cari solusinya ke depan," lanjutnya.
Anies, SBY, serta kader Demokrat bertukat pikiran terkait apa yang harus dilakukan. Selain soal ketatanegaraan, opsi cawapres Anies juga dibahas.
"Pak Anies dibantu Tim 8 sedang memfinalkan pilihan opsi-opsi calon pasangan. Setelah final, kita nanti cari hari baik untuk mengumumkannya. Dalam pertemuan tadi kita lebih banyak membahas hal-hal stategis, tidak secara teknis membahas waktu deklarasi," tuturnya.
