Caught on Camera, Blind Beggar Goes Home in a Luxury Car After Begging

A video showing the action of a blind beggar driving a car after collecting money has recently been widely discussed by Malaysian netizens.

The viral video was uploaded by a Twitter user named Addam Dharshan. (@AdwinWidanta) on Sunday (9/4/2023). As of Tuesday (11/4/2023) afternoon, the video has been viewed 1.4 million times.

The video initially shows how a beggar couple (a boy and a girl) go to a restaurant to ask for donations from the people who are there.

After they finished begging, the two are then seen walking towards an intersection before turning right and the camera focuses on a white car parked at the intersection.

Then the scene switches to a different path.

So, there, the beggar couple was seen getting into a white car that seemed to have been waiting for them by the side of the road. The man sat in the front seat while the woman sat in the back.

"Under the best assumptions, maybe they got into a Grab car," wrote Dharshan.

This video post has been widely commented on by netizens "Neighboring Country".

Some suspected the beggar was involved in a syndicate.

"Eh, when they are away from people, suddenly they look fine and can walk fast," said one Twitter user as quoted from World of Buzz.

There are also Twitter users who claim to have experienced a similar incident.

"This happened to me once, after the beggars left, they crossed the street normally and got into expensive cars," he explained.

Other Twitter users are not sure if the beggar took Grab as Dharshan said.

“If they really use Grab, then they can see the bright side. But they walk fast as if he suddenly has no different visual abilities, what's the best way to think?" said another Malaysian netizen.
