TAWADHU'AN SAYIDINA ABU BAKAR SHIDIQ By: Ahmad Syahrin Thoriq Al Imam Ibnul Atsir Rahimullah mentioned a history and its sanad in his book Usdul Ghabah volume 3 pages 325-326: That every evening, Sayidina Umar bin Khaththab, may Allah be pleased with him, would visit an old and blind woman who lived on the outskirts of Medina. He gave him food and drink, and also helped him fulfill all his needs. One time, when he visited the woman's house, Sayidina Umar found out that someone had gone there first, and that person had even taken care of all her needs. Sayidina Umar approached the woman several times, but she was always preceded by this person. So Umar stalked him, then found out the identity of the person who always preceded him. It turned out that this person was none other than Sayidina Abu Bakar Ash Siddiq. And at that time Sayidina Abu Bakr radhiyallahu'anhu had been appointed caliph of the Muslims.
