In today's modern era, advances in technology have succeeded in changing the way humans work.
Now, almost everything can be done online (online) using the internet. Starting from communication activities with each other, buying and selling transactions, transferring funds to investing.

Fikri Anray Secario as Product Owner of Pine VPN Indonesia admits that the company has provided many conveniences at the individual to corporate level.
"However, we must remember that security must remain a priority," said Fikri from a release received by GenPI.co, Friday (8/3).

Fikri's spotlight is not without reason. The threat of cyber attacks will increase as the number of active internet users in the country increases.
Data from the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII) shows that the number of internet users in 2018 was 171.1 million people.

This number is estimated to increase to 215.6 million people in 2023. This means that more than 78 percent of Indonesia's population are active internet users.
Meanwhile, the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) noted that Indonesia will experience 279.84 million cyber attacks in 2023.

These attacks target government institutions, corporations and individual citizens.
So far, Indonesia continues to make continuous efforts to maintain cyber security from various risks and threats.
Based on National Cyber Security Index (NCSI) data in 2023, Indonesia is ranked 49th out of 176 countries with a score of 63.64 points, still below the world average score of 67.08 points.
Meanwhile in the ASEAN region, Indonesia is in the top five category after Malaysia (79.22), Singapore (71.43), Thailand (64.94).

Fikri hopes that the presence of Pine VPN which has a global standard security level can contribute to providing a safe and comfortable solution for use by Indonesian users, especially business people, when doing activities in cyberspace.
"The simplest and most accessible solution is to use a VPN. This way, the data will be encrypted so that when the user is active online, he seems invisible to criminals, even when using public WiFi," he explained.

Fikri believes that Pine VPN, which has finally entered Indonesia, could be a more affordable option compared to other premium VPNs.
Apart from using Swiss technology which is well known in the world of security, this VPN offers photo and video compression features of up to 90 percent without reducing quality.(*)
