How to Ruqyah Yourself in Accordance with Islamic Sharia, to Be Free from Jinn Interference
– Ruqyah or Rukyah is a method of treatment using prayer for people who are sick as a result of 'ain (views), magic, pain, and even jinn interference.
In Islam, there are two types of ruqyah, namely ruqyah syar'iyyah and ruqyah syirkiyyah. Syariyyah is ruqyah that is correct according to Islamic law, while syirkiyyah is ruqyah that can lead to shirk. Generally, we know that ruqyah is performed by professionals such as ustaz or ruqyah experts who understand the method of application. But actually, ruqyah can be done independently.
So, how do you apply and read prayers for your own ruqyah?
1. Read the ruqyah prayer yourself
Start by reading taawudz: Audzu billahi minas syaitonir rojim. Allahumma inni audzubika minas syaithanirrajim min hamazihi wanafkhihi wanafatsih.
Meaning: "I seek refuge in Allah Subhanawata'ala from the cursed devil. O my God. Verily, I seek refuge with You from Satan, who is accursed from his blows, from his blows and from his gusts.
2. Read Surah Alfatihah
Meaning: "In the name of Allah, the most merciful, the most merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds, the most gracious, the most merciful, the owner of the day of judgment. Only you do we worship and only from you do we ask for help. Show us the straight path (namely) the path of those you have given favor to, not (the path of) those who are angry, and not (nor the path of) those who are astray." Aaamiiinn
Allahu laa ilaaha illaa huwal hayyul qoyyuum, laa takhudzuhuu sinatuw walaa naum. Lahuu maa fissamaawaati wa maa fil ardli man dzal ladzii yasfa'uindahuu illaa biidznih, yalamu maa baina aidihim wamaa kholfahum wa laa yuhiithuuna bisyaiim min ilmihii illaa bimaa syaa wasia Kursiyyuhus samaawaati wal ardlo walaa yauuduhuu hifdhuhumaa wahuwal a liyyul adhiim.
Meaning: Allah, there is no God (who has the right to be worshiped), but He who lives eternally and continuously takes care of (His creatures). Who is neither sleepy nor sleeping. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. No one can intercede with Allah without His permission. Indeed, Allah knows best what is before them and behind them. And they know nothing from Allah's knowledge except what He wills. Allah's seat covers the heavens and the earth. And Allah does not find it difficult to look after both of them, and Allah is Most High and Most Great.
4. Reading Surah Al-Mu'awwidzatain
Surah Al-Mu'awwidzatain consists of Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas. These three surahs were revealed when the Messenger of Allah was worried about magic from the Jews befalling him and asked Allah for protection from the evil of humans, the devil and also the jinn. Thanks to the request of Rasulullah, Allah revealed the above surah as a gift for Rasulullah and all mankind to ward off all disturbances from jinn and humans.
5. Use water media
As the Prophet said. "The best medicine is water" Use water that is first given the prayer reading above. If so, then you can drink it because the water is considered to be useful for protecting the body. Before doing ruqyah yourself, make sure you have performed ablution, worn closed clothes and surrendered completely only to Allah SWT.
