- As the long holiday approaches, Google announced a series of updates, which will make it easier for users to plan their trips using AI capabilities.
So now, Google claims to be testing a new capability in Search, which will help you create travel itineraries to places thanks to AI support.
“Ahead of the summer travel season, we're testing new AI-powered capabilities in Search that can help you,” Google wrote in its official announcement.
So, if you take part in the Search Generative Experience (SGE) and ask a question like: “plan a 3-day trip to Philadelphia that's connected to history,” then Google will come up with suggestions that include attractions and restaurants, as well as an overview of flight options andyour hotel.
In these travel suggestions, Google will also collect ideas from sites across the web, as well as information such as reviews, photos and other Business Profile details that people have submitted to Google for more than 200 million places around the world.
“With all these links and resources organized in one place, you can easily dig deeper and learn more about your destination or compare options,” the search giant further wrote.
However, this new capability is only available in English in the US. All you have to do is register with Search Labs and let SGE try it out. There are no further details yet on when this feature will be rolled out to more countries.
