Jakarta – Philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche's often-quoted famous statement "God is dead" is often associated with the view of rejecting the existence of God, known as atheism. However, the concept of atheism has existed since ancient times, even before Christ, and continues to develop today.
Pew Research Center's Religious Composition by Country in 2022 conducted research to look at the distribution of atheism views in various countries. The United States-based research organization analyzed the percentage of the population in countries where the majority do not believe in the existence of God.
The results of this research reveal a list of countries with a population where the majority do not believe in the existence of divine power. A list of the 20 countries with the largest number of atheists in the world is presented based on Pew Research data.
