DON'T LEAVE THE HOUSE BEFORE MAGRIB

Wawan's eyes wandered, he didn't know what he was looking for. “They just reported it to the post. I looked for you at home, but you weren't there."

"How come they're just reporting it now, didn't we see the figure going down earlier?"

“Well, that's it. They said they were looking for their friends first, then reporting to the post."

"Where are they now?"

"Still at the post, with Karman and Tino."

"Yeah, let's go there!"

Wawan and I rushed to the patrol post where the kid from the university was waiting. A few days ago, one KKN child also disappeared during surup time. But that night we met immediately. The child was also found under the big tree in a daze.

Currently, for the time being, the KKN child is first sent home to his parents, for a period of recovery.

We walked hurriedly to the patrol post which was quite far from my house. From a distance, people could be seen standing in front of the patrol post. They look tense.

"How is it, Lan?" Karman, who often panicked when faced with problems, immediately asked when Wawan and I arrived.

"Have you tried looking for it?"

"They said so, Lan."

“Looked for anywhere? Have you gone to the river? When did it disappear?"

“Just after sunset, Mas. That was Sisi, our friend who was leaving to wash at around five in the afternoon. Then at half past six I saw him come home and immediately went into the room. So, when we were waiting for the evening prayer, Sisi didn't come out. When we looked into his room, it turned out there was no one in his room. "It seems like the person I saw entering the room wasn't Sisi, sir," explained a KKn child I know whose name is Candra.

"Yes, sir, we tried looking at the river and it wasn't there. We only found clothes that had been washed, sandals and the same toiletries. Finally, we reported it here," continued Agus, who is also a KKN student in our hamlet.

So about seven children from the university came to our village, three girls and four boys each. They said they came to this hamlet to give free lessons to those of us who haven't finished elementary school.

"We'd better report Mr. Dukuh. My friends and I who are patrolling also can't provide any solution, except to search. If we report Mr. Dukuh, at least he can mobilize the residents or maybe there is another solution."

"But earlier I briefly saw someone who looked a lot like Mr. Dukuh, he was going around the house we live in, Sir. How come you suspect that Mr. Dukuh might be involved in the disappearance of our friend," said Candra, who was more talkative and critical.

"There's no proof. We can't be careless, it could be slander."

"Yes, yes, so what about this, sir?"

“Yes, whether I want to or not, I will report to Pak Dukuh, Mas. "Boss, you two are going to Pak Dukuh's house, so we can try looking at the river again."

"Yes, sir."

I took a torch tucked into a patrol post pole as light. Because my flashlight has almost run out of batteries. While others brought flashlights for light

The four of us then moved towards the river, precisely where we had seen the hairy figure carrying a girl who I thought was a KKN child who had been reported missing.

My three friends and I followed the path to the big tree. From a distance, the shady tree, which is hundreds of years old, looks dark. Only the leaves occasionally move because they are blown by the night wind.

If you pay attention continuously. after a while it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Especially imagining that tall, hairy figure disappearing behind the phone.

"Why did you stop, Lan?" Karman slag.

“Goosebumps ui.”

"Me too," replied Tino.

Suddenly the wind that had previously been blowing breezy, was now blowing quite fast. Until the torch I was carrying almost went out because of the wind.

"Mar, your torch is going to die," shouted Wawan.

"Yeah, here, the wind is suddenly strong, isn't it?"

"Yeah, yeah, it was just normal, why do we come here like it's getting louder."

Not to mention our mouths were closed, the wind was blowing even harder. Now the torch I carried has completely extinguished. The scene ahead was pitch black. The big tree swayed as if it was about to fall.

“Seter, Wan.” I saw Wawan da Karman trying to turn on his flashlight which suddenly turned off by itself.

"It won't turn on, Mar, try your flashlight, No," said Karman.

Tino was the same, his elementary school classmate used to knock on his flashlight to make it turn on, but to no avail. It's possible that the battery is dead.

"The battery has run out. We're in the dark. What to do?"

The wind was getting stronger, my friends and I sat on the edge of the path and didn't fall. The condition of the road was decreasing, making it difficult for us to continue our journey towards the river.

“Duhm, why is the wind so strong like this? Even though it was fine before we came here. "Where are the torches and flashlights all dead," complained Karman.

“Yeah, really strange. "I got goosebumps even more when I saw that tree shaking like it was going to fall." I continued to pay attention to the trembesi tree which stood towering with very dense leaves.

The tree had been cut down several times but couldn't. even people who cut down a few days later vomited blood and eventually died. Finally, until now no one dares to cut down the tree. Some people from the next village even used it as a place to look for wangsit.

"How is it Mar? Shall we go back to the post? "It's really scary here," complained Wawan.

"But we haven't tried looking for it yet, Wan, we just got here. "Who knows, maybe it's behind that tree. We saw the figure of the bully behind that tree earlier."

"What? Do you see the feather figure?” Karman asked.

"Yes."

"We actually saw Mr. Dukuh near the tree, but when we arrived at Langgar, it turned out that Mr. Dukuh was in Langgar."

"Same, Pak Dukuh was in that tree too, but he went to Langgar with us," said Wawan. "So it can't be that it's still in that tree."

“If you don't believe me, just ask Tino. We clearly saw Pak Dukuh sitting on the big rock. I don't know what else to do."

Thud… suddenly there was a sound of something falling from the top of the tree. Then accompanied by the sound of a woman screaming.

"Sontoloyo, what are you up to?" Wawan shouted spontaneously.

“Please, aaaa…”

The four of us rushed closer to the tree. Even though we were anxious and afraid, we still tried to fight our fear to check what object had fallen.

"Sir, please!"

The wind calmed down again, and the flashlight that suddenly went dead was able to turn on as before.

"Flash in that direction, Wan. I heard someone asking for help from that direction earlier."

Wawan and Karman then highlighted the location where something fell under the tree.

"Whose foot is that, wow," shouted Toni.

"Let's put a flashlight on my face, man."

"That's right, Fitri."

"Allahuakbar, Fitri." ***
