Difference between Human Destiny and God's Decree
a friend asked to Imam Ali Bin Abi Talib "O Imam, explain to me the difference between human destiny and God's decree..." Imam Ali Bin Abi Talib answered, " Try lifting one of your legs..." Friend raises his left leg
and stand on one leg. "That's fate..." Imam explained. "Now try lifting both..." Friend said, " It's impossible, Imam..." "That is what is called Allah's decree..."
And when Umar Bin Khatab asked, "O Ali, how can you answer all the questions without thinking?
Imam Ali asked again while raising the palm of the hand, "How many fingers are there on my hand?" Umar answered without thinking, " five...". Imam Ali Bin Abi Talib said, "
that's as easy as your answer
I answered all questions..." Fate comes from the word qadr, we know it by word "grade" or size.
So human destiny is determined by human standards.
Humans can try his own destiny. Have freedom. The friend could lifting his right leg, but he lifted his left leg.
He determines his own destiny.
Meanwhile, God's decree is absolute, that humans cannot stand without legs.
Imam Ali Bin Abi Thalib menjawab, “Coba angkat salah satu kakimu…” Teman mengangkat kaki kirinya kaki
dan berdiri dengan satu kaki. “Itu takdir…” jelas Imam. “Sekarang coba angkat kedua-duanya…” Teman berkata, “Tidak mungkin Imam…” “Itulah yang disebut ketetapan Allah…”
Dan ketika Umar Bin Khatab bertanya, “Wahai Ali, bagaimana kamu bisa menjawab semua pertanyaan tanpa berpikir panjang?
Imam Ali bertanya lagi sambil mengangkat telapak tangannya, “Ada berapa jari pada tanganku?” Umar menjawab tanpa pikir panjang, “lima…”. Imam Ali Bin Abi Thalib berkata, “
Memiliki kebebasan. Temannya bisa mengangkat kaki kanannya, namun ia mengangkat kaki kirinya.
Dia menentukan nasibnya sendiri.
Sedangkan ketetapan Tuhan bersifat mutlak, bahwa manusia tidak dapat berdiri tanpa kaki.
