United States Soldiers Definitely Will Not Enter Israel, This is the Explanation Regarding the Arrival of the Aircraft Carrier
- United States (US) National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby confirmed that no American troops would be deployed to Israel.
However, he said, the US will continue to supply the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the fight against Hamas.
“We have national security interests throughout this region,” said Kirby at his daily press conference to reporters at the White House, Thursday (12/10/2023).
Kirby's explanation refers to the deployment of US aircraft carriers and their strike groups to the eastern Mediterranean.
Kirby also denied reports about sending US airborne troops or marines to Israel.
“Israel has stated very clearly that they do not want foreign troops on their territory, that they want to conduct this operation themselves and that they have every right to do so,” Kirby said.
“There is no intention, no plan to put American troops in combat,” he said.
He added that the US has “several experts” providing “suggestions and advice” to the West Jerusalem Administration on how to free hostages held by Hamas.
These US intelligence experts also play a role in maintaining relations, sharing information and intelligence with Israel.
"The US also has a strong defense relationship with Israel in terms of providing arms and ammunition," added Kirby.
"The IDF is small but very capable and the US is doing everything we can to increase that capability," he added.
Israeli General Acknowledges Failure
Earlier the same day, IDF chief of staff General Herzi Halevi said that the Israeli military “failed” to protect Israel and its people on Saturday.
He promised that there would be an evaluation and calculation of his region's security system after the war against Hamas was over.
Hamas, the Palestinian group that controls most of Gaza carried out attacks on the anniversary of the 1973 war, launching thousands of rockets at Israel and sending more than 1,000 militants to breach the border fence in an operation dubbed the 'Al-Aqsa Flood'.
Hamas fighters stormed 22 towns, villages and settlements, as well as a music festival held near Gaza.
Israel responded by launching air strikes against Gaza, while deploying tanks and artillery to the southern border.
So far, about 1,200 people have been killed in Israel and at least 1,100 in Gaza, according to local officials.

Tentara Amerika Serikat Dipastikan Tak Masuki Israel, Ini Penjelasan Terkait Datangnya Kapal Induk
Jenderal Israel Mengaku Gagal
