SIM Exam in Indonesia Considered Too Difficult, So Says the Police
The Bekasi Metro Police opened their voices about the public's opinion that the SIM exam is difficult and expensive. According to the Bekasi Metro Police, this statement was only made by those who qualifiedly did not meet the graduation requirements.
Head of Residential Unit Satpas SIM Polres Metro Bekasi, AKP Evo Rudi Laksono explained, whether the SIM exam is difficult or not depends on the ability of the applicant. Because, if we ask people who pass, the answer is definitely easy.
"If you ask those who don't pass, it's difficult. If the survey is 100 people and 80 people fail (then the answer will be) difficult. But try when the survey is the same as those who passed (80 people), it's easy," said Rudi who was met at the Bekasi Metro Police, Java West, recently.
He admitted, currently there are more applicants who fail than those who succeed. However, he said, the comparison numbers are not much different.
After all, according to him, when people say it is difficult and not difficult, then they have to compare it with the SIM exam in other countries which are systemically different.
"The National Police is always cornered, but with whatever we try to provide the best service. When compared between abroad and Indonesia, the culture alone is different. Their system is also different from the system in Indonesia," he said.
Even if the driver's license exam is considered difficult and ultimately fails, Rudi reminded that applicants can apply for a repeat. In fact, his party also provides free training before plunging directly into the exam session.
"When (talking) about difficult and not difficult problems, we give repetition when they fail, then open safety riding teaching. We open it, free training," he said.
"I only answered my Satpas, because of that innovation developed in each Satpas to care for and serve the community," Rudi added.
Kanit Regident Satpas SIM Polres Metro Bekasi, AKP Evo Rudi Laksono menjelaskan, sulit atau tidaknya ujian SIM tergantung kemampuan si pemohon.
