FADHILAH SACRIFICE (FADHILAH BERQURBAN)

Sacrifice worship has many virtues, including the following:
1. Forgiveness from Allah
Rasulullah shallallahu'alaihi wasallam said to his daughter, Fatimah:
يَا فَاطِمَةُ قَوْمِي إِلَى أُضْحِيَّتِكَ فَاشْهَدِيهَا فَإِنَّهُ يُغْفَرُ لَكِ عِنْدَ أَوَّ لِ قَطْرَةٍ تَقْطُرُ مِنْ دَمِهَا كُلُّ ذَنْبٍ عَمِلْتِيهِ وَقُولِي: إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِ ي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا مِنَالْمُسْلِمِينَ.
"O Fatimah, stand up and watch the animal you slaughtered. Truly you are forgiven at the beginning of the drop of blood from the sins you commit. And read: Verily my prayers, my sacrifices, my life and my death are only for Allah ta'ala, Lord of the universe." (Narrated by Abu Dawud)
2. Means to get the pleasure of Allah and a sign of faith
Allah subhanahu wata'ala has said:
O Allah
"The meat of the camels and their blood cannot reach (the pleasure of) Allah, but it is your piety that can reach them." (QS: Al-Hajj: 37)
Rasulullah shallallahu'alaihi wasallam said:
من وجد سعة لأن يضحي فلم يضح ، فلا يحضر مصلانا
"Whoever finds himself in a state of spaciousness, then he doesn't make a sacrifice, then let him not approach our Eid prayer place." (Narrated by Ahmad and Ibn Majah)
3. The practice of the most important treasure
Allah subhanahu wata'ala says:
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ
“So establish prayer for your Lord; and make sacrifices." (QS. Al Kautsar: 2)
When discussing the verse above, some scholars say: "The most noble worship of treasure is slaughtering the qurban, while the most important body worship is prayer..."
4. Sacrificial animals will be witnesses on the Day of Judgment
Rasulullah shallallahu'alaihi wasallam said:
وَإِنَّهُ لَيَأْتِى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِقُرُونِهَا وَأَظْلاَفِهَا وَأَشْعَارِهَا وَإِنَّ الدَّم َ لَيَقَعُ مِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِمَكَانٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقَعَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ فَطِيبُوا بِهَا نَفْس ًا
“Verily, the sacrificial animal will come on the Day of Resurrection (as a witness) with its horns, hair and hooves. And in fact the blood of the sacrificial animal lies somewhere with Allah before it flows to the ground. Therefore, please be happy with him.” (Narrated by Tirmidhi)
5. Get a great reward
The number of rewards that will be obtained by the perpetrators of this worship is likened to the number of hairs from animals that are slaughtered.
This is an illustration of how great the reward of sacrifice is, as stated by the Prophet sallallaahu'alaihi wasallam in a hadith.
بِكُلِّ شَعَرَةٍ مِنَ الصُّوفِ حَسَنَةٌ
"On each sheet of feathers it will get (reward) one goodness." (Narrated by Ahmad)
6. Worship that is most loved by Allah on Eid
Rasulullah shallallahu'alaihi wasallam said:
مَا عَمِلَ ابْنُ آدَمَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ عَمَلًا أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ هِرَاقَةِ دَ Amen مَ لَيَقَعُ مِنْ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِمَكَانٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقَعَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ فَطِيبُوا بِهَانَفْسًا
"There is no practice of Adam's children and grandchildren on the day of sacrifice that is more pleasing to Allah than slaughtering sacrificial animals, in fact on the Day of Judgment these animals will come complete with their horns, hooves and hair.
In fact, the blood will reach Allah – as a sacrifice – wherever the animal is slaughtered before the blood reaches the ground, so be willing to slaughter it.” (Narrated by Ibn Majah)
7. Part of reviving Islamic symbols
Amen ِ الْأَنْعَامِ فَإِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ فَلَهُ أَسْلِمُوا وَبَشِّرِ الْمُخْبِتِينَ
"And for each community We have prescribed slaughter (qurban), so that they mention the name of Allah ta'ala for the livestock that Allah has provided for them, then your God is the One and Only God, therefore submit yourselves to Him. And give good tidings to those who submit (to Allah)." (Al-Hajj: 34).
ذَٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ شَعَٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِن تَقْوَى ٱلْقُلُوبِ
"Thus (God's command). And whoever exalts the symbols of Allah, then indeed it arises from piety in the heart ". (QS. Al-Hajj: 32)
8. Social value that is more afdhal than alms
Sayidina Ali bin Abi Talib radhiyallahu'anhu said:
أَمَرَنِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّ أَقْوَمَ عَلَى بُدْنِهِ, وَأَنْ أُقَسِّمَ لُحُومَهَا وَ Amen
"The Messenger of Allah ordered me to take care of the sacrificial animals, distribute the meat, skin and clothes to the poor, and I am not allowed to give anything from the sacrificial animals (as wages) to the slaughterers." (Narrated by Abu Dawud)
That's why in the books of fiqh we find the opinions of the scholars of the Hanafiyah, Syafi'iyyah and Hanabilah schools saying that Qurban is more afdhal than all forms of alms even though the value is greater.
Malikiyah even said it was bigger than freeing slaves. (Al Mausu'ah al Fiqhiyyah al Kuwaitiyah, 5/107-108)

FADHILAH BERQURBAN

Ibadah Qurban mempunyai banyak keutamaan, diantaranya adalah sebagai berikut :
1. Ampunan dari Allah
Rasulullah shalallahu’alaihi Wasallam bersabda kepada anaknya, Fatimah :
يَا فَاطِمَةُ قَوْمِي إِلَى أُضْحِيَّتِكَ فَاشْهَدِيهَا فَإِنَّهُ يُغْفَرُ لَكِ عِنْدَ أَوَّلِ قَطْرَةٍ تَقْطُرُ مِنْ دَمِهَا كُلُّ ذَنْبٍ عَمِلْتِيهِ وَقُولِي: إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ.
“Ya Fatimah, berdirilah dan saksikan hewan sembelihanmu itu. Sesungguhnya kamu diampuni pada saat awal tetesan darah itu dari dosa-dosa yang kamu lakukan. Dan bacalah : Sesungguhnya shalatku, sembelihanku, hidupku dan matiku hanya untuk Allah ta'ala, Rabb alam semesta.” (HR. Abu Daud)
2. Sarana mendapatkan keridhaan dari Allah dan tanda keimanan
Allah subhanahu wata’ala telah berfirman :
لَن يَنَالَ اللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَاؤُهَا وَلَكِن يَنَالُهُ التَّقْوَى مِنكُمْ
"Daging-daging unta dan darahnya itu sekali-kali tidak dapat mencapai (keridhaan) Allah, tetapi ketakwaan dari kamulah yang dapat mencapainya." (QS : Al Hajj : 37)
Rasulullah shalallahu’alaihi wasallam bersabda :
من وجد سعة لأن يضحي فلم يضح ، فلا يحضر مصلانا
“Siapa yang mendapati dirinya dalam keadaan lapang, lalu ia tidak berqurban, maka janganlah ia mendekati tempat shalat Ied kami.” (HR. Ahmad dan Ibnu Majah)
3. Amalan harta yang paling utama
Allah subhanahu wata’ala berfirman :
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ
“Maka dirikanlah shalat karena Tuhanmu; dan berqurbanlah.” (QS. Al Kautsar : 2)
Ketika membahas ayat diatas, sebagian ulama mengatakan : “Ibadah harta yang paling mulia adalah menyembelih qurban, sedangkan ibadah badan yang paling utama adalah shalat…”
4. Hewan qurban akan menjadi saksi di hari kiamat
Rasulullah shalallahu’alaihi wasallam bersabda :
وَإِنَّهُ لَيَأْتِى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِقُرُونِهَا وَأَظْلاَفِهَا وَأَشْعَارِهَا وَإِنَّ الدَّمَ لَيَقَعُ مِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِمَكَانٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقَعَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ فَطِيبُوا بِهَا نَفْسًا
“Sesungguhnya hewan qurban itu akan datang pada hari kiamat (sebagai saksi) dengan tanduk,bulu, dan kukunya. Dan sesungguhnya darah hewan qurban telah terletak disuatu tempat disisi Allah sebelum mengalir ditanah. Karena itu, bahagiakan dirimu dengannya.” (HR. Tirmidzi)
5. Mendapatkan pahala yang besar
Banyaknya pahala yang akan diperoleh pelakunya dari ibadah ini diumpamakan seperti banyaknya bulu dari binatang yang disembelih.
Ini merupakan gambaran tentang betapa besarnya pahala dari berqurban, sebagaimana yang dinyatakan oleh Rasulullah shalallahu’alaihi Wasallam dalam sebuah hadits.
بِكُلِّ شَعَرَةٍ مِنَ الصُّوفِ حَسَنَةٌ
"Pada tiap-tiap lembar bulunya itu akan memperoleh (pahala) satu kebaikan." (HR. Ahmad)
6. Ibadah yang paling dicintai Allah di hari raya
Rasulullah shalallahu’alaihi wasallam bersabda :
مَا عَمِلَ ابْنُ آدَمَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ عَمَلًا أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ هِرَاقَةِ دَمٍ وَإِنَّهُ لَيَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِقُرُونِهَا وَأَظْلَافِهَا وَأَشْعَارِهَا وَإِنَّ الدَّمَ لَيَقَعُ مِنْ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِمَكَانٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقَعَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ فَطِيبُوا بِهَا نَفْسًا
“Tidak ada amalan anak cucu Adam pada hari raya qurban yang lebih disukai Allah melebihi dari menyembelih hewan qurban, sesungguhnya pada hari kiamat nanti hewan-hewan tersebut akan datang lengkap dengan tanduk-tanduknya, kuku-kukunya, dan bulu- bulunya.
Sesungguhnya darahnya akan sampai kepada Allah –sebagai qurban– di manapun hewan itu disembelih sebelum darahnya sampai ke tanah, maka ikhlaskanlah menyembelihnya.” (HR. Ibn Majah)
7. Bagian dari menghidupkan syiar Islam
وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ جَعَلْنَا مَنسَكاً لِيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَى مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّن بَهِيمَةِ الْأَنْعَامِ فَإِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ فَلَهُ أَسْلِمُوا وَبَشِّرِ الْمُخْبِتِينَ
“Dan bagi tiap-tiap umat telah Kami syariatkan penyembelihan (qurban), supaya mereka menyebut nama Allah ta’ala terhadap binatang ternak yang telah direzkikan Allah kepada mereka, maka Ilahmu ialah Ilah Yang Maha Esa, karena itu berserah dirilah kamu kepada-Nya. Dan berilah kabar gembira kepada orang-orang yang tunduk patuh (kepada Allah).” (Al-Hajj: 34).
ذَٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ شَعَٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِن تَقْوَى ٱلْقُلُوبِ
“Demikianlah (perintah Allah). Dan barangsiapa mengagungkan syi’ar-syi’ar Allah, maka sesungguhnya itu timbul dari ketakwaan hati”. (QS. Al Hajj: 32)
8. Bernilai sosial yang lebih afdhal dari sedekah
Sayidina Ali bin Abi Thalib radhiyallahu’anhu berkata :
أَمَرَنِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّ أَقْوَمَ عَلَى بُدْنِهِ, وَأَنْ أُقَسِّمَ لُحُومَهَا وَجُلُودَهَا وَجِلالَهَا عَلَى الْمَسَاكِينِ, وَلا أُعْطِيَ فِي جِزَارَتِهَا مِنْهَا شَيْئاً
“Rasulullah memerintahkan kepadaku untuk mengurusi hewan kurbannya, membagi-bagikan dagingnya, kulit dan pakaiannya kepada orang-orang miskin, dan aku tidak diperbolehkan memberi sesuatu apapun dari hewan qurban (sebagai upah) kepada penyembelihnya.” (HR. Abu Dawud)
Karena itulah dalam kitab-kitab fiqih kita temukan pendapat para ulama madzhab Hanafiyah, Syafi’iyyah dan Hanabilah mengatakan bahwa Qurban lebih afdhal dari segala bentuk sedekah meskipun nilainya lebih besar.
Malikiyah bahkan mengatakan lebih besar dari memerdekakan budak. (Al Mausu’ah al Fiqhiyyah al Kuwaitiyah, 5/107-108)
