Menkominfo Johnny G Plate Jadi Tersangka Kasus Korupsi BTS 4G Bakti Kominfo
Kejaksaan Agung (Kejagung) Republik Indonesia menetapkan Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika (Menkominfo) Johnny G Plate sebagai tersangka.
Plate menjadi tersangka kasus dugaan korupsi penyediaan menara base transceiver station (BTS) 4G dan infrastruktur pendukung 1, 2, 3, 4, dan 5 Bakti Kementerian Kominfo tahun 2020-2022.
"Satu orang sudah ditetapkan sebagai tersangka seperti yang Anda saksikan tadi dan langsung dilakukan penahanan," ujar Kepala Pusat Penerangan Hukum Kejagung Ketut Sumedana dalam jumpa pers di Kejagung, Rabu (17/6/2023).
Direktur Penyidikan Jampidsus Kejagung Kuntadi mengungkapkan, penetapan tersangka terhadap Plate terkait wewenang dia sebagai pengguna anggaran dan posisinya sebagai menteri.
"Tentunya selaku pengguna anggaran dan selaku menteri. Atas hasil pemeriksaan tersebut sehingga tim penyidik pada hari ini telah meningkatkan status yang bersangkutan dari saksi menjadi tersangka," kata Kuntadi.
Pantauan Kompas .com di lokasi, Plate tampak keluar mengenakan rompi berwarna pink khas baju tahanan Kejagung. Tangannya juga terlihat diborgol.
Setelah keluar dari gedung pemeriksaan, Johnny langsung masuk ke mobil tahanan Kejagung.
Adapun penetapan tersangka disampaikan usai Plate resmi menjalani pemeriksaan yang ketiga kalinya di Gedung Bundar Kejagung, Jakarta, pada hari ini.
Sebelum hari ini, Plate sempat diperiksa pada Selasa (14/2/2023) dan Rabu (15/3/2023) dalam kapasitas sebagai saksi.
Diketahui, kerugian keuangan negara dalam kasus ini mencapai Rp 8 triliun.
Kejagung sudah menetapkan lima orang tersangka. Salah satunya Direktur Utama (Dirut) Bakti Kominfo Anang Achmad Latif (AAL).
Sementara itu, keempat tersangka lainnya adalah Account Director of Integrated Account Departement PT Huawei Tech Investment, Mukti Ali (MA), dan Komisaris PT Solitech Media Sinergy, Irwan Hermawan (IH).
Kemudian, Direktur Utama PT Mora Telematika Indonesia, Galubang Menak (GMS); dan Tenaga Ahli Human Development (HUDEV) Universitas Indonesia Tahun 2020, Yohan Suryanto (YS).
Mereka secara bersama-sama melakukan tindakan melawan hukum atau penyelewengan yang dilakukan untuk menguntungkan pihak tertentu.
Akibat perbuatan mereka, para tersangka dijerat Pasal 2 ayat (1) dan Pasal 3 juncto Pasal 18 Undang-Undang RI Nomor 20 Tahun 2001 tentang Perubahan atas Undang-Undang RI Nomor 31 Tahun 1999 tentang Pemberantasan Tindak Pidana Korupsi juncto Pasal 55 Ayat (1) ke-1 KUHP.
Minister of Communication and Information Johnny G Plate Becomes a Suspect in the BTS 4G Corruption Case Bakti Kominfo
The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) of the Republic of Indonesia named the Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Johnny G Plate as a suspect.
Plate became a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the provision of 4G base transceiver station (BTS) towers and supporting infrastructure 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 Bakti Ministry of Communication and Informatics for 2020-2022.
"One person has been named a suspect as you witnessed earlier and was immediately detained," said Head of the AGO's Legal Information Center Ketut Sumedana at a press conference at the AGO, Wednesday (17/6/2023).
The Director of Investigations for Jampidsus at the AGO, Kuntadi, revealed that the determination of the suspect against Plate was related to his authority as a budget user and his position as a minister.
"Of course as a user of the budget and as a minister. Based on the results of the examination, the investigation team today has upgraded the status of the person concerned from witness to suspect," said Kuntadi.
Based on Kompas.com monitoring at the location, Plate appeared to be coming out wearing a pink vest typical of the Attorney General's prison shirt. His hands were also seen in handcuffs.
After leaving the examination building, Johnny immediately entered the AGO's detention car.
The determination of the suspect was announced after Plate officially underwent his third examination at the AGO Round Building, Jakarta, today.
Prior to today, Plate was examined on Tuesday (14/2/2023) and Wednesday (15/3/2023) in his capacity as a witness.
It is known that state financial losses in this case reached IDR 8 trillion.
The AGO has named five suspects. One of them is Bakti Kominfo Main Director (Director) Anang Achmad Latif (AAL).
Meanwhile, the other four suspects are the Account Director of the Integrated Account Department of PT Huawei Tech Investment, Mukti Ali (MA), and Commissioner of PT Solitech Media Sinergy, Irwan Hermawan (IH).
Then, the Main Director of PT Mora Telematics Indonesia, Gauntung Menak (GMS); and 2020 University of Indonesia Human Development Expert (HUDEV), Yohan Suryanto (YS).
They jointly carry out unlawful acts or misappropriations that are carried out to benefit certain parties.
As a result of their actions, the suspects were charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) and Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st Criminal Code.
