Labor Party,Just Named Ganjar Pranowo, Anies-Prabowo Group Attacks,
The President of the Labor Party, Said Iqbal emphasized that his party does not want to play slander and hoax politics.
He said this during the May Day Fiesta to commemorate International Labor Day 2023 at Istora Senayan, Central Jakarta, Monday (1/5/2023).
"The Labor Party forbids slanderous politics, politics that belittles people's dignity," said Said Iqbal at the May Day Fiesta at Istora Senayan, Central Jakarta, Monday.
He then recounted his experience providing support in previous elections. In the election several years ago, he stated that he supports Prabowo Subianto.
At that time, Prabowo's supporters and political parties praised him. Likewise when expressing support for Anies Baswedan.
However, their sympathies have changed in the lead-up to next year's presidential elections, following the emergence of the name Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo at the Labor Party's national meeting.
Ganjar is one of four figures chosen to be the presidential candidate in the national meeting.
"In the past, when we supported Prabowo, including me as president of KSPI, Prabowo's group praised him. When we supported Anies, groups praised him, groups that supported Anies," he said.
"Today just mentioned, Ganjar Pranowo, one of the four presidential candidates supported based on the decision of the national meeting, Anies' group and Prabowo's group attacked. We don't like that," added Said Iqbal.
Even so, according to him, the election of Ganjar in the National Working Meeting did not automatically make the Labor Party give full support to the figure of the PDI-P cadre.
He conveyed that the presidential election would go through three stages. The first stage that has been underway is the National Working Meeting, which brought out four names of presidential candidates.
In the second stage, the Labor Party will hold conventions, one of which is by distributing questionnaires via WhatsApp instant messages to choose one of the four names proposed in the National Working Meeting.
Then in the last stage, there was a presidium meeting to determine the name of the presidential candidate by the 11 founding organizations of the Labor Party.
"Who will the Labor Party choose? The Labor Party will choose a person who will be decided in 3 stages. The convention will be in June-July. Finally, after the results of the convention there is one more stage, namely a presidium meeting which is decided by the 11 founding organizations of the labor party. So it is strict in the Labor Party, " said Iqbal.
He also ensured that his party would not form a coalition with political parties that support the Job Creation omnibus law, including with presidential candidates supported through the party coalition.
"We will not form a coalition with the political parties that passed the Job Creation Law. The Labor Party will only form a coalition with a presidential candidate who will later be elected through a national meeting, through the Labor Party convention, and through the presidium. Ganjar Pranowo has not yet decided," said Iqbal.
Partai Buruh: Baru Sebut Ganjar Pranowo, Kelompok Anies-Prabowo Menyerang
Presiden Partai Buruh, Said Iqbal menegaskan, partainya tidak ingin memainkan politik fitnah dan hoax.
Hal ini dikatakannya dalam kegiatan May Day Fiesta untuk memperingati Hari Buruh Internasional tahun 2023 di Istora Senayan, Jakarta Pusat, Senin (1/5/2023).
"Partai buruh mengharamkan politik fitnah, politik-politik yang mengecilkan martabat orang," kata Said Iqbal dalam May Day Fiesta di Istora Senayan, Jakarta Pusat, Senin.
Ia lantas menceritakan pengalamannya memberikan dukungan di pemilu-pemilu sebelumnya. Pada Pemilu beberapa tahun lalu, ia menyatakan mendukung Prabowo Subianto.
Saat itu, para pendukung dan parpol pengusung Prabowo memujinya. Begitu pula ketika menyatakan dukungan kepada Anies Baswedan.
Namun, simpati keduanya justru berubah menjelang Pilpres tahun depan, menyusul munculnya nama Gubernur Jawa Tengah Ganjar Pranowo dalam rakernas Partai Buruh.
Ganjar menjadi satu dari empat sosok yang dipilih untuk menjadi capres dalam rakernas tersebut.
"Dulu waktu kami mendukung Prabowo, termasuk saya sebagai presiden KSPI, dipuji-puji oleh kelompok Prabowo. Ketika kami mendukung Anies, dipuji-puji oleh kelompok, oleh kelompok yang mendukung Anies," ucap dia.
"Hari ini baru menyebut saja, Ganjar Pranowo, satu dari empat capres yang didukung berdasarkan keputusan rakernas, kelompok Anies dan kelompok Prabowo menyerang. Itu kami enggak suka," imbuh Said Iqbal.
Padahal menurut dia, terpilihnya Ganjar di dalam rakernas tak serta-merta membuat Partai Buruh memberikan dukungan penuh kepada sosok kader PDI-P tersebut.
Ia menyampaikan, pemilihan capres akan melalui tiga tahapan. Tahap pertama yang sudah berlangsung adalah rakernas, yang memunculkan empat nama bacapres.
Di tahap kedua, Partai Buruh akan melakukan konvensi, salah satunya dengan menyebar kuisioner melalui pesan instan WhatsApp untuk memilih satu dari empat nama yang diusulkan dalam Rakernas.
Kemudian di tahap terakhir, ada rapat presidium untuk menentukan nama capres oleh 11 organisasi pendiri Partai Buruh.
"Partai Buruh pilih siapa? Partai Buruh pilih orang yang akan diputuskan 3 tahap. Konvensinya bulan Juni-Juli. Terakhir setelah hasil konvensi ada 1 tahap lagi, yaitu rapat presidium yang diputuskan oleh 11 organisasi pendiri partai buruh. Jadi ketat di Partai Buruh itu," ungkap Iqbal.
Dia pun memastikan, pihaknya tidak akan berkoalisi dengan partai politik yang mendukung omnibus law Cipta Kerja, termasuk dengan capres yang didukung melalui koalisi partai tersebut.
"Kami tidak akan berkoalisi dengan parpol yang mengesahkan daripada UU Cipta Kerja. Partai buruh hanya berkoalisi dengan capres yang nanti akan dipilih melalui rakernas, melalui konvensi Partai Buruh, dan melalui presidium. Belum diputuskan Ganjar Pranowo," tegas Iqbal.
