Satan and Bananas and Play Money for BNN Tasikmalaya Asking THR to Entrepreneurs
A group of people visited the Office of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in Tasikmalaya City, West Java, Wednesday (12/4/2023).
They gave bunches of bananas and play money as a form of protest that the Tasikmalaya National Narcotics Agency had requested a holiday allowance (THR) from bus operators with an official letter.
A BNN employee for the City of Tasikmalaya revealed that the play money and unripe bananas were sent by a number of teenagers who wore all-black uniforms like farmers.
"The items are in the office, namely banknotes in denominations of Rp. 100,000 and Rp. 50,000 and one pandan banana with its heart still attached," said a BNN Tasikmalaya officer, quoted from Tribun Jabar.
Viewed negatively
The BNN City Tasikmalaya City BNN sub-coordinator of Prevention and Community Empowerment, Ridwan Jumiarsa, feels a negative view of the many cases of THR requests.
"Of course we feel a negative view from the public regarding this case. We as members really feel that. This is something we don't want and can't imagine," said Ridwan.
"All this time we didn't know that the THR request letter had been issued. That's why at that time I asked a number of journalists to ask the Head of BNN for Tasikmalaya City, Iwan Kurniawan Hasyim," he added.
This request for THR also came to the attention of Deputy Chairperson of the Tasikmalaya City DPRD Mamat Rahmat.
Mamat assessed that what was carried out by BNN Tasikmalaya was unethical.
"That's inappropriate and unethical. They are officers who are supposed to protect the community, not burden the community by pretending to ask THR to use the power of an official government institution which has been tasked with eradicating narcotics," said Mamat, when contacted, Wednesday afternoon.
Head of BNN Tasikmalaya examined
Head of the West Java National Narcotics Agency (BNN Jabar) Brigadier General Pol Arief said that what BNN Tasikmalaya did by asking the bus company for THR was not justified.
Currently the West Java National Narcotics Agency is examining the Tasikmalaya National Narcotics Agency Head, Iwan Kurniawan.
"This act was not permitted by the National Narcotics Agency. Currently the person concerned is being handled according to the procedures in force," Arief said via text message.
Previously reported, a photo of a letter requesting a holiday allowance (THR) from the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Tasikmalaya City, West Java, to a bus company was circulating on social media.
Head of BNN Tasikmalaya City, Iwan Kurniawan Hasyim, confirmed the letter.
Iwan also admitted that what he had done was a mistake and had retracted the letter.
"That may be a mistake from us. I am the leader, this should not happen. I thought it was actually only for members, but the letter has been revoked," he said. (Tasikmalaya Contributing Writer, Irwan Nugraha | Editor Teuku Muhammad Valdy Arief)

Kepala BNN Tasikmalaya diperiksa
(Penulis Kontributor Tasikmalaya, Irwan Nugraha | Editor Teuku Muhammad Valdy Arief)
