Open Stretching Ganjar 2024 Presidential Election, Gerindra: With a Note, Prabowo Presidential Candidate

Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees, Hashim Djojohadikusumo, revealed that his party has the opportunity to support Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election. 

As long as, he said, in the contest Ganjar is partnered with General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, as vice presidential candidate. 

"Yes, I think it's open if Pak Ganjar wants to join Pak Prabowo, provided that Pak Prabowo is a presidential candidate," said Hashim when met at Gedung Joang' 45, Jakarta, Sunday (12/3/2023). 

He revealed that this was in response to President Joko Widodo's intimate moment with Prabowo and Ganjar during the harvest season in Kebumen, Central Java some time ago. 

According to Hashim, this support will be given if Ganjar is willing to become vice presidential candidate. Because, according to him, Prabowo is said to be more experienced than Ganjar. 

"Pak Prabowo is much more senior, 15 years older, his experience is different, right," he added. 

Even though he was willing to provide support, he stressed that the decision on who would accompany Prabowo had to be made together with the National Awakening Party (PKB). 

This is because currently Gerindra has built a coalition with PKB to face the 2024 elections. 

"The possibility is open if Mr. Ganjar wants to be. However, it must be approved by PKB. As soon as it has to be approved by PKB, we are open," concluded the chairman of the Prabowo Mania 08 Advisory Council.

Wakil Ketua Dewan Pembina Partai Gerindra Hashim Djojohadikusumo mengungkapkan, partainya berpeluang mendukung Gubernur Jawa Tengah Ganjar Pranowo di Pilpres 2024.

Asalkan, kata dia, dalam kontestasi itu Ganjar berpasangan dengan Ketua Umum Partai Gerindra Prabowo Subianto, sebagai calon wakil presiden.

"Ya saya kira terbuka kalau Pak Ganjar mau ikut dengan Pak Prabowo, dengan catatan Pak Prabowo calon presiden," kata Hashim saat ditemui di Gedung Joang' 45, Jakarta, Minggu (12/3/2023).

Ia mengungkapkan hal itu merespons momen keakraban Presiden Joko Widodo dengan Prabowo dan Ganjar saat panen raya di Kebumen, Jawa Tengah beberapa waktu lalu.

Menurut Hashim, dukungan itu akan diberikan bila Ganjar bersedia menjadi cawapres. Sebab, menurutnya, Prabowo disebut lebih berpengalaman dari Ganjar.

"Pak Prabowo jauh lebih senior, 15 tahun lebih tua pengalamannya berbeda kan," imbuh dia.

Kendati bersedia memberikan dukungan, ia menegaskan bahwa keputusan soal siapa yang akan mendampingi Prabowo, harus diputuskan bersama dengan Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (PKB).

Pasalnya, saat ini Gerindra telah membangun koalisi dengan PKB untuk menghadapi Pemilu 2024.

"Kemungkinan itu terbuka kalau Pak Ganjar mau jadi. Tapi, harus disetujui oleh PKB. Kan begitu harus disetujui PKB, kami terbuka lah," pungkas Ketua Dewan Penasihat Prabowo Mania 08 itu.
