Levels of the Human Heart According to Allah SWT
Everyone has different hearts, and each heart also has its own level.
Rasulullah SAW said, in the human body there is a lump of flesh. If this lump of flesh is good, the whole body will be good.
But on the other hand, if this lump of flesh is bad, the whole body will be bad. What does that mean? namely heart.
Of course if we have a good heart, of course we will always be close to Allah SWT. If our hearts are so dark and dirty, we will also be further away from Allah.
In the Qur'an, Allah SWT has preached that every human heart is divided into three grade levels.
1. Healthy liver.
It means a healthy heart, a living heart. A heart like this can be said to be the heart of someone who knows God, who loves God, worships because of God. In essence, everything that is done is nothing but not only hoping for the blessing of Allah.
Because later, there will come a day when our wealth, children and grandchildren will not be of any use unless we face Allah with a safe heart. Because everything that God gives is just a deposit. Therefore, always keep our hearts healthy, always alive. If we have wealth, don't be arrogant.
As in Surah An-Nisa verse 58:
۞ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تُؤَدُّوا الْأَمَانَاتِ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهَا وَإِذَا حَكَمْتُمْ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ أَنْ تَحْكُمُوا بِالْعَدْلِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ نِعِمَّا يَعِظُكُمْ بِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا
Meaning: Indeed, Allah commands you to convey messages to those who are entitled to receive them, and (orders you) when stipulating laws between people so that you determine them fairly. Verily Allah gives you the best teaching. Verily Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
2. Dead heart.
God said, a dead heart is a human heart that has no feelings and never thinks of others.
Surah Al-Baqarah verse 7:
خَتَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلَىٰ أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ
Meaning: Allah has locked their hearts and ears, and their eyes closed. And for them a very heavy torment.
People whose hearts are dead can be said to be people who do not know God, let alone love God. Because everything he does is based on lust.
As in the letter of Surah Al-Isra verse 10: Amen
Meaning: and verily those who do not believe in the afterlife, We have prepared for them a painful punishment.
The heart of a dead human, as long as they live they will never think about how when they close their eyes, they do not have any preparation for what they will share in the Last Days. In fact, this world is a field of supplies in the hereafter. The quality of our life in the hereafter depends on our quality in the present world.
3. Heartache
Contained in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 10.
فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ فَزَادَهُمُ اللَّهُ مَرَضًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِب
Meaning: In their hearts there is a disease, then Allah added to the disease; and for them a painful punishment, because they lied.
This is the heart of a hypocrite, whose heart is sick. He knows about religious knowledge but doesn't put it into practice. He knows when to pray, but doesn't do it. He also knows that reciting the Koran is an obligation, but does not carry it out. He knows alms is obligatory, but not issued.
He knows what is obligatory and must be done but deliberately forgets it. This is the characteristic of a hypocrite whose heart is sick.
These three class levels affect how our journey of life is while in the world, how is the quality of our life. As long as we are still given age by Allah SWT, then you should use it as well as possible. Clean your heart and always be in the way of Allah. Do not let us be included in the group of people whose hearts are dead or sick.
