Dzikir After Shalat
Dzikir after shalat (prayer) is a common practice among Muslims, and it involves the recitation of certain phrases or prayers. The specific types and number of dzikir that are recited after shalat can vary among different schools of thought within Islam, but some common ones include:
- Subhanallah (Glory be to Allah) - recited 33 times
- Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah) - recited 33 times
- Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest) - recited 33 times
- La ilaha illallah (There is no god but Allah) - recited 1 time
These four phrases are known as the "Tasbih Fatimah" and are often recited after each of the five daily prayers. Other forms of dzikir may also be recited, such as reciting Ayatul Kursi (the Throne Verse) or reciting the Surah Al-Ikhlas (the Chapter of Sincerity) three times.
The purpose of dzikir after shalat is to remember Allah and seek His blessings, forgiveness, and guidance. It is also a way to show gratitude for the ability to perform the prayer and to strengthen one's faith.
