THE SECRET OF GOD'S LOVE
Here is one of the secrets of why Prophet Ibrahim ليه لم became the lover of Allah. Imam Nawawi Al-Bantani said:
لِأَيِّ اِتَّخَذَكَ اللهُ لِيْلًا الَ لَاثَةِ اءَ اخْتَرْتُ اللهِ لَى غَيْرِهِ ا اهْتَمَمْتُ ا لَ اللهُ لِيْ ا وَمَا لَّا الضَّيْفِ
One time, Prophet Ibrahim ليه لم was asked, "Why did Allah انه الی make you His lover?" Prophet Ibrahim ليه لم replied, "Because of three things, namely: I always prioritize Allah's commands over orders other than Him; I never worry about the sustenance that has been given to me. borne by God; I eat neither in the afternoon nor in the morning except with guests."
Even a narration states that Prophet Ibrahim ليه لم once walked one to two miles just to find someone to eat with.
