REACHING GUIDELINES IN THE WORLD GETTING INSTRUCTIONS IN THE END

REACHING GUIDELINES IN THE WORLD GETTING INSTRUCTIONS IN THE END

Verily, those who believe and do righteous deeds, they are guided by their Lord because of their faith, beneath them rivers flow in paradise full of pleasure. Their prayer in it is 'Subhanakallahumma', and their salutation is 'Salam'. And the closing of their prayers is 'Alhamdulillahi Rabbil 'Alamin'. (Qs. Yunus [10]: 9-10)

Ibn Kathir Rohimahulloh said:

This is a story about the state of the happy people, namely those who believe in Allah and justify the apostles, and do what they are commanded to do; therefore they do righteous deeds. So Allah guided them by virtue of their faith.

The letter ba contained in lafaz bi imanihim is sababiyyah (as a cause). Its full form is 'because of their faith in this world, Allah will guide them on the Day of Resurrection to the straight path'. Allah guides them through the mustaqim siratal so that they are safe and enter heaven.

But it can also be interpreted with the meaning of isti'anah, as Mujahid said regarding the meaning of His word: they were guided by their Lord because of their faith. (Yunus: 9) That is, they have nur (light) that illuminates their path (on the Day of Resurrection).

Ibn Juraij said regarding the meaning of the verse, that his deeds are likened to a beautiful and fragrant form. When the person in question rises from his grave, then his deeds come to pick him up and convey good news to him, so that the person concerned asks, "Who are you?" So his deeds replied, "I am your deeds." Then given to him the light that illuminates the partin front of him to enter him into Paradise. That is what His word says: they were guided by their Lord because of their faith. (Yunus: 9) Meanwhile, if the disbeliever, his deeds are likened in a very bad form and smells bad, then he stalks the owner and misleads him to plunge him into hell.
Things like that have been narrated by Qatadah mursal.
(Tafsir Ibn Kathir: 4/250)
