SEMANTICS
(Implicit Meaning)

اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Knowing the implied meaning of a writing, speech, text or discourse is very important, more important than the explicit, written or spoken meaning. If you only see the written or spoken meaning, there are often misunderstandings. In the past, testing faculty students b. English with a short reading text before presenting the SEMANTICS course. A: "They should be punished immidiately." B: "You're telling me!" When asked what B's words meant, the majority of students interpreted it as "You're telling me." That's literal translation (leterlek) or word-for-word. And this kind of translation I've seen in a western film translator subtitles on a TV. This misunderstanding occurred because I did not master semantic knowledge or in Arabic it is called balaghah and when I studied at the Arabic literature faculty, after studying books at the KHZ Musthafa al Manba Islamic boarding school in Tasikmalaya, I had studied balaghah. 
Semantically, B's statement means: "I totally agree!" which in English b: "I fully agree with you!"
Therefore, in understanding the interpretation of the Qur'an, we must follow the understanding of the salafush shalihin because they understand balaghah or at least they are guided by those who have uswah hasanah, namely the Messenger of Allah. For example, many state that the results or results obtained by a person depend on his deeds, by referring to verses 7 & 8 of the letter azZalzalah. Because he is often evil, his merchandise is not selling well. THAT'S THE EXPRESS TRANSLATION that lay people often do. Even though the meaning of these verses is not for the world. Why? Many bad people who live comfortably and die peacefully and not a few good people who live hard and die are killed like Umar bin Kaththab when leading the dawn prayer, Uthman bin 'Affan when reciting the Qur'an, etc. The meaning of the two verses is that later in yaumilhisab all good or bad deeds will be seen by the perpetrators. Isn't the content of the letter also about the apocalypse? 
Let's not get tired of continuing to seek syar'i knowledge so that our deeds are accepted by Allah. 
لْ ا لَ ا
"So whoever does good as heavy as an zarrah, surely he will see (reply) it." (Q.S.99:7)
