SPIRITUAL AI -- Indian cleric Sheikh Maulana Muhammad Zakariyya Al-Kandahlawi is of the opinion that the Hajj is a picture of death and the state after death. Therefore, when you enter Makkah Al-Mukarramah it is as if you are entering the grave.
"In Makkah Mukarramah there is hope to obtain the mercy of Allah SWT, because Makkah is Darul-Aman," said Sheikh Maulana Muhammad Zakariyya Al-Kandahlawi in his book Fadhilah Haji.
However, because of bad deeds, people should always feel afraid that even in a safe place they will not find safety. Hajj pilgrims who live in Makkah Mukarramah always renew their memories of that hope.
"The existence of Makkah Mukarramah as a safe place always reminds us of Allah's mercy, His maghfirah, His gifts and His gifts," he said.
Because, said Sheikh Zakariyya, by remembering all the bad deeds he has done during his life, he will remember a verse of poetry which reads:
"If after death you don't live in peace, then where will you run?"

"Di Makkah Mukarramah ada harapan untuk mendapatkan rahmat Allah SWT, karena Makkah adalah Darul-Aman," kata Syekh Maulana Muhammad Zakariyya Al-Kandahlawi dalam kitabnya Fadhilah Haji.
Akan tetapi, karena amal buruknya, orang hendaknya selalu merasa takut kalau-kalau di tempat yang aman pun ia tidak mendapatkan keamanan.Jamaah haji yang tinggal di Makkah Mukarramah selalu memperbaharui ingatan tentang harapan itu.
"Adanya Makkah Mukarramah sebagai tempat yang aman selalu mengingatkan kita kepada rahmat Allah, maghfirah-Nya, karunia-Nya, dan pemberian-Nya," katanya.
Karena, kata Syekh Zakariyya dengan mengingat seluruh amal buruknya yang telah ia kerjakan semasa hidupnya, maka ia akan teringat satu bait syair yang berbunyi:
"Jika setelah mati tidak hidup tenang, maka mau lari ke mana."
Memandang Baitullah mengingatkan kita ketika melihat rumah Al-Malik pada hari Kiamat. Dan karena Baitullah adalah tempat munculnya kehebatan, keagungan, dan kebesaran Allah swt., hendaknya kita datang ke Baitullah dengan penuh adab sebagaimana menerapkan adab pada waktu hadir di istana raja.
Thawaf di Baitullah mengingatkan thawafnya para malaikat di Arsy Mualla di mana mereka selalu mengerjakan thawaf di sana. Menangis dengan berselimutkan kelambu Ka'bah dan menangis di Multazam adalah seperti perbuatan seseorang yang bersalah kepada seorang tuan yang baik dan yang memenuhi segala keperluannya.
"Ia menangis dengan memegang ujung bajunya supaya dimaafkan, dan menangis sambil memegang di dinding Baitullah, karena inilah satu-satunya jalan agar dosa-dosanya dimaafkan," katanya.
Dan dia juga merupakan gambaran menangis pada hari kiamat karena teringat dosa. Kemudian Sa'i antara Shafa dan Marwah mengingatkan ketika kita berlari ke sana dan kemari pada hari masyhar.
