Meeting Laylatul Qadar in the month of Ramadan is one of the dreams of all Muslims. How could it not be, tonight's goodness exceeds a thousand months. So what are the actual characteristics of the night of Lailatul Qadar?

Laylatul Qadar itself is said to come in the last ten days of Ramadan, according to the following hadith narrated by Bukhari.

God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing

It means:
From Aisyah RA, she said that Rasulullah Saw. said: "Look for Lailatul-Qadr on the odd date of the last ten days of the month of Ramadan" (HR. al-Bukhari)

Let's look at the characteristics of the arrival of the night of Lailatul Qadar as quoted from the book Effective Strategy for Achieving Lailatul Qadar by Candra Nila Murti Dewojati and Fadhilah Ramadhan by Maulana Muhammad Zakariya Kandahlawi.

Characteristics of Laylatul Qadar Night

1. Bright

The first characteristic of the night of Laylatul Qadar is explained in the following hadith.
It was narrated from 'Ubadah bin Shamit, that he asked the Messenger of Allah. about Laylatul-Qadar. Then he said: "In the month of Ramadan these are the last ten nights, in fact the odd nights are the nights 21, 23, 25, 27 and 29, or the last night of the month of Ramadan. Whoever wakes up (praying) that night with faith and sincerity, his past sins will be forgiven. Among the signs are that the night was bright, calm, quiet, not hot and not cold, as if there was a shining moon, no stars were cast that night until morning. Including the signs that actually in the morning, the sun will rise, its light will not be as strong as the full moon. On that day, Allah forbade Satan to go out with him" (HR. Ahmad and al-Baihaqi)

2. Calm and Quiet

The hadith narrated by Ahmad and Al-Baihaqi above also explains that another characteristic of lailatul qadar is calm and quiet. In fact, it was so calm that not a star was cast that night until morning.

3. The air is neither hot nor cold

On the night of Lailatul Qadar, the weather is cool, not hot but not cold either. This sign is explained in the following hadith.
"Lailatul Qadar is a night of gentleness, bright, not hot and not cold. The sun in the morning becomes weak and looks reddish." (HR. Ath-Thayalisi, Ibn Khuzaimah, Al-Bazzar, and Hasan's sanad)

4. All the Angels Descend to Earth

On the night of Lailatul Qadar, all the angels descend to earth. However, angels are supernatural creatures of God, so humans cannot see them with the naked eye.
Even so, there are natural conditions that indicate this phenomenon, namely that the sunlight at sunrise is not as bright as usual. This is explained in the following Sahih Muslim bi-Syarh An-Nawawi.
"The sun rose the next day like a bright white bowl, without the slightest blemish or spot, its rays did not burn. There are scholars who explain the secret of why the weather is like that, this is because how many angels descend to earth and before dawn they rush upback to further, then the spread of their wings or their bright light covers the sun."

5. Sunrise Without Rays

In another hadith it is explained that after the night of Laylatul Qadar, the sun rises without light. The following is the history.
From Abi bin Ka'ab, Rasulullah SAW said, "At dawn from the night of Lailatul Qadar, the sun rises without light, as if thinking about a vessel until the sun rises." (HR. Muslim)

6. Heavy Rain

Even though most of us know that the night of Laylatul Qadar is bright and bright, there is another history which explains that this night it actually rained and was muddy. This sign is explained in the following hadith.
From Abu Sai'id Al-Khudri RA, Rasulullah SAW said, "Indeed it was shown to me (in my dream) that lailatul qadar occurred on an odd night and the next morning I prostrated in mud and water." That morning he was on the twenty-first night of Ramadan. He was standing doing morning prayers, suddenly the sky rained so that the mosque was hit by rain. I can see grass and water. After the morning prayer, I saw mud and water stuck to his forehead and the bridge of his nose. Apparently Laylatul Qadar (this year) occurs on the twenty-first night of the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan. (HR. Bukhari, Muslim, An-Nasai, Abu Daud, and Ahmad).
Those are the 6 characteristics of the night of Laylatul Qadar along with the source of the evidence. Hopefully this is useful, detikers!
