And, the function of AI will be even greater when artificial general intelligence (AGI) is applied. The reason is, AI will be smarter and can do more complex work. This is different from today, which still exists in the era of artificial narrow intelligence (ANI).
"Currently, we are in the era of Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI), or AI that carries out specific tasks," said Bambang at the Next Level AI Conference: Unlocking Business Opportunities and Efficiency with Artificial Intelligence, which was held in Semarang (23 /11).

This AGI technology is currently still being developed, one of which is by OpenAI through Project Q. Several people at OpenAI believe that Q could be an important breakthrough in creating AGI, which they call an autonomous system that surpasses human intelligence.
So smart, with the capital of a large computer network, this new AI model can solve mathematical problems. Why mathematics? This is because if AI can master mathematics, it means that AI already has greater reasoning abilities like human intelligence.
The trend of using artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the business world is increasingly showing significant benefits. This has a positive impact in various sectors of life, especially in terms of business.
This was conveyed by the President Director of PT Internet Mulia For Negeri (Nexa), Priyo Suyono, in his speech when opening the Next Level AI Conference: Unlocking Business Opportunities and Efficiency with Artificial Intelligence.
At this event, the focus of discussion was centered on the potential use of AI technology in the business environment, starting from increasing efficiency, creating new business opportunities, to increasing the organization's cyber security resilience.
"I also hope that this activity can become a forum for networking and bridging digital economic ecosystem players in Indonesia," added Priyo, in a statement received by detikINET.
Deputy Minister of Communication and Information (Kominfo) of the Republic of Indonesia, Nezar Patria, who was present to give a keynote speech, explained, "In a rapidly developing business landscape, AI integration has generated efficiency and opportunities in business."
Nezar also reminded that when using AI, it is important to carefully consider complex challenges. For this reason, proper AI governance is needed.
"Currently, the Ministry of Communication and Information is preparing a Circular Letter from the Minister of Communication and Information regarding the Ethics Guidelines for Artificial Intelligence, which will become an ethical guide for organizations and companies that use AI," he explained.
On the same occasion, Dian Nuswantoro University Professor, Pulung Nurtantio Andono also gave examples of several AI implementations that were directly felt by the public. For example, the use of AI technology to help farmers and fishermen increase their productivity.
"In the future, there will be more and more everyday problems that can be solved by AI," said Prof. Pulung.
Implementation gets easier
Implementing AI is getting easier thanks to the presence of ready-to-use platforms provided by solution providers such as Microsoft and Google. As revealed by Megawaty Khie (Director, Channels and Strategic Partnership, South East Asia, Google Cloud), Google is currently actively using AI technology in their services such as Gmail, Drive, and YouTube.
Likewise, Microsoft provides Copilot, a set of tools that is integrated into Microsoft software such as Office 365. As stated by Panji Wasmana, Director, National Technology Officer, Microsoft Indonesia, Copilot functions to increase productivity while simplifying employee work.
"We need to understand that the AI is only the co-pilot and we are the pilots who instruct the AI what to do," explained Panji, at the event.
Even though it offers many advantages, Megawaty Khie and Panji Wasmana agree on the importance of ethics in implementing AI. Apart from that, the role of people, aka talent, remains crucial in developing this technology. That's why both Google and Microsoft provide various free training for Indonesian talents who want to develop skills in the field of AI.

Teknologi AGI ini saat ini masih dikembangkan, salah satunya oleh OpenAI lewat Project Q. Beberapa orang di OpenAI meyakini kalau Q bisa menjadi terobosan penting untuk menciptakan AGI, yang mereka sebut sebagai sistem otonom yang melampaui kecerdasan manusia.
Saking cerdasnya, dengan bermodal jaringan komputer besar, model AI baru ini bisa menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Mengapa matematika? Ini karena jika AI bisa menguasai matematika, berarti AI sudah memiliki kemampuan penalaran lebih besar seperti kecerdasan manusia.

"Saya juga berharap kegiatan ini dapat menjadi wadah networking dan menjembatani para pelaku ekosistem ekonomi digital di Indonesia," tambah Priyo, dalam keterangan yang diterima detikINET.
Wakil Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kominfo) Republik Indonesia, Nezar Patria yang hadir memberikan keynote speech menjelaskan, "Dalam lanskap bisnis yang berkembang pesat, integrasi AI telah menghasilkan efisiensi dan peluang dalam bisnis."
Nezar juga mengingatkan dalam pemanfaatan AI, penting untuk mempertimbangkan dengan cermat tantangan secara kompleks. Untuk itu, diperlukan tata kelola AI yang tepat.
"Saat ini Kementerian Kominfo tengah menyusun Surat Edaran Menteri Kominfo tentang Pedoman Etika Kecerdasan Artifisial yang akan menjadi panduan etika untuk organisasi dan perusahaan yang menggunakan AI," jelasnya.
Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Guru Besar Universitas Dian Nuswantoro, Pulung Nurtantio Andono juga mencontohkan beberapa implementasi AI yang langsung dirasakan masyarakat. Contohnya penggunaan teknologi AI untuk membantu petani dan nelayan dalam meningkatkan produktivitasnya.
"Ke depan, akan semakin banyak persoalan sehari-hari yang bisa diselesaikan oleh AI," ungkap Prof. Pulung.
Implementasi semakin mudah
Implementasi AI pun semakin mudah berkat kehadiran platform siap pakai yang disediakan penyedia solusi seperti Microsoft dan Google. Seperti diungkap Megawaty Khie (Director, Channels and Strategic Partnership, South East Asia, Google Cloud), Google saat ini aktif menggunakan teknologi AI di layanan mereka seperti Gmail, Drive, sampai Youtube.
Demikian pula Microsoft yang menyediakan Copilot, sebuah set of tools yang diintegrasikan ke software Microsoft seperti Office 365. Seperti diungkap Panji Wasmana, Director, National Technology Officer Microsoft Indonesia, Copilot ini berfungsi meningkatkan produktivitas sekaligus menyederhanakan pekerjaan karyawan.
"Perlu dipahami jika AI hanya co-pilot dan kita adalah pilot yang menginstruksikan apa yang harus dilakukan AI," jelas Panji, dalam acara tersebut.
Meski menawarkan banyak keuntungan, Megawaty Khie dan Panji Wasmana sepakat pentingnya etika dalam implementasi AI. Selain itu, peran people alias talenta tetap krusial dalam mengembangkan teknologi ini. Karena itulah baik Google dan Microsoft menyediakan berbagai pelatihan gratis bagi talenta Indonesia yang ingin mengembangkan skills di bidang AI.
