Not being postponed, Google Gemini AI is finally officially released
Google seems to want to dismiss the information that their newest AI, Google Gemini, has been postponed to 2024. Because it wasn't long before the news of the delay circulated, Google immediately moved quickly and announced their latest step in the world of artificial intelligence through Gemini 1.0.
Previously Google already had Bard, and now there is the latest release Gemini. What actually differentiates the two if they are both AI?

Reporting directly from the Google blog, the latest version of Alphabet's AI, which was officially released on December 6, has something that Bard couldn't do before. If previously Google Bard could only process data from text, Gemini is one step more sophisticated and supports multi-modal such as images, audio, coding and video.
According to its capabilities, Gemini 1.0 is divided into 3 sizes. According to Google, the most massive size, namely the Gemini Ultra, is intended for data centers that require heavy-duty use. Meanwhile, the smaller Gemini Pro is suitable for everyday use. Then finally there is the Gemini Nano which is the smallest and can be placed in a smartphone.
Google seems to be bringing Gemini features directly to their latest smartphone, namely the Google Pixel 8 Pro. Where there are two new features that will use Gemini Nano's AI capabilities.

Not only smartphones, Google Bard has also been updated to integrate Gemini into it. Google itself claims this is the biggest change that has ever occurred in Bard. Plus in the near future, Gemini will be available across Google products such as Search, Ads, Chrome, and Duet AI.
Google's claims about their newest AI are quite ambitious. This is because the Ultra size in the benchmark they carried out got a score of 30 out of 32 in the academic benchmark which is usually used to measure the ability of the Large Language Model.

Melansir langsung dari blog Google, versi terbaru AI buatan Alphabet yang resmi rilis per 6 Desember punya sesuatu yang belum bisa dilakukan oleh Bard sebelumnya. Jika Google Bard sebelumnya hanya bisa mengolah data dari teks, maka Gemini selangkah lebih canggih dan mendukung multi modal seperti gambar, audio, coding, serta video.
Sesuai kemampuannya, Gemini 1.0 dibagi menjadi 3 ukuran. Menurut Google, ukuran paling masif yaitu Gemini Ultra diperuntukkan di data center yang butuh penggunaan kelas berat. Sedangkan yang lebih kecilnya yaitu Gemini Pro cocok untuk penggunaan sehari-hari. Lalu terakhir ada Gemini Nano yang paling kecil dan bisa ditempatkan di smartphone.
Google sepertinya membawakan fitur Gemini langsung ke smartphone teranyar mereka yaitu Google Pixel 8 Pro. Dimana ada dua fitur baru yang akan gunakan kemampuan AI Gemini Nano.
