Joe Biden Says He's a Zionist
The President of the United States, Joe Biden, declared himself a Zionist. The Democratic Party leader also emphasized that his country would continue to provide assistance to Israel until Hamas was eliminated.
The US and Israel are true allies - Washington has been on the side of the invaders since the fighting broke out in early October, even considering Hamas a terrorist organization.
Quoted from the Times of Israel, Biden's confession was made when he hosted the Hanukkah commemoration night at the White House, on Tuesday (12/12).
Accompanied by First Lady Jill Biden, at the reception Biden reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring Israel's security from the threat of Hamas.
"As I said after the [October 7] attack, my commitment to the safety of the Jewish people, and the security of Israel, its right to exist as an independent Jewish state — is unwavering," Biden said.
"If there were no Israel, no Jew in this world would be safe," he added, to loud applause.
His warmth and warm relationship with the Jewish community, Biden said, is beyond question. "I ran into problems and criticism when I said a few years ago that you don't have to be Jewish to be a Zionist, and I am a Zionist," he continued.
The Hanukkah evening reception at the White House was attended by around 800 invited guests, including Holocaust survivors, members of Congress, state officials and Jewish religious leaders in the US.
On the same day, Biden issued a warning to Israel that its indiscriminate attacks on the Gaza Strip were reducing international support. Biden even suggested that Israel's current right-wing government change its policy towards Palestine.
"This is the most conservative administration in Israel's history," Biden said on Tuesday (12/12), as quoted by AFP.
The international community has put pressure on Israel and the United States, as well as international institutions such as the UN to immediately end aggression in the Gaza Strip. According to the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, since October 7, 18,608 Palestinians have been killed and 50,594 others injured.
Joe Biden Ngaku Dirinya Zionis
