- The 43rd ASEAN High Level Conference (Summit) has officially closed, after being held for three days from 5-7 September 2023 at the Jakarta Convention Center, Central Jakarta.
There was one interesting moment at the 2023 ASEAN Summit, where the Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, praised President Jokowi. This is because Indonesia is considered successful in hosting this prestigious event.
In an open manner, Kamala Harris expressed her appreciation and praise directly to President Jokowi. This moment was recorded in a video uploaded by the Twitter account or X @wisnutama on Thursday (7/9/2023).
"Thank you for your leadership in ASEAN this year," said Kamala Harris, as quoted on Friday (8/9/2023).
Kamala Harris admitted that she was amazed by the excitement of the 20023 ASEAN Summit, especially on the night of the Gala Dinner which was held at the City Forest, Gelora Bung Karno.
He admitted that he was impressed with everything that was served, from food to entertainment attractions. Without hesitation, Kamala Harris said that the nuances of all this were almost the same as those in Hollywood, the United States.
"As I said last night, the banquet, production and entertainment, almost exceeded anything Hollywood could put on," said Kamala.
Receiving such praise, President Jokowi was seen smiling and blushing. Jokowi looked down slightly and smiled, as if he was happy with the praise.

- Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi (KTT) ke-43 ASEAN telah resmi ditutup, setelah digelar selama tiga hari sejak 5-7 September 2023 di Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta Pusat.
Ada satu momen menarik dalam perhelatan KTT ASEAN 2023 itu, di mana Wakil Presiden Amerika Serikat Kamala Harris memuji Presiden Jokowi. Ini karena Indonesia dianggap berhasil menjadi tuan rumah ajang bergengsi itu.
Secara tetang-terangan, Kamala Harris menyampaikan apresiasi dan pujian tersebut secara langsung pada Presiden Jokowi. Momen itu terekam dalam sebuah video yang diunggah oleh akun Twitter atau X @wisnutama pada Kamis (7/9/2023).
"Terima kasih atas kepemimpinan Anda dalam ASEAN tahun ini," kata Kamala Harris, seperti dikutip pada Jumat (8/9/2023).
Kamala Harris mengaku terpukau dengan meriahnya KTT ASEAN 20023, terutama pada malam Gala Dinner yang diadakan di Hutan Kota, Gelora Bung Karno.
Ia mengaku terkesan dengan semua yang disuguhkan, mulai dari makanan hingga atraksi hiburan. Bahkan tanpa ragu, Kamala Harris menyebut nuansa semua itu nyaris sama seperti yang ada di Hollywood, Amerika Serikat.
"Seperti yang telah saya sampaikan semalam, jamuan makan, produksi dan hiburan, hampir melebihi apapun yang bisa ditampilkan Hollywood," puji Kamala.
Mendapatkan pujian yang demikian, Presiden Jokowi terlihat tersenyum dan tersipu malu. Jokowi sedikit tertunduk sambil tersenyum, seakan senang dengan pujian tersebut.
Dalam video itu juga diperlihatkan cuplikan kemeriahan malam gala dinner KTT ASEAN 2023 tersebut, dimana para tamu disajikan beragam atraksi hiburan di atas panggung.
Atraksi tersebut berupa tarian dan nyanyian yang diiringi musik dan penampilan kembang api di angkasa yang membuatnya semakin meriah.
"Jadi saya mengucapkan selamat kepada Anda dan semua yang telah bekerja keras untuk malam yang indah, serta pekan yang baik dan produktif," ujar Kamala Harris.
Ternyata di balik kemegahan yang berujung pada pujian Wapres Amerika Serikat Kamala Harris, ada sosok Wishnutama selaku konseptor acara KTT ASEAN 2023.
Melalui akun Twitternya itu, Wishnutama juga mengucapkan terima kasih pada Presiden Jokowi yang telah memberikannya kesempatan untuk menjadi bagian dari perhelatan acara dalam KTT ASEAN 2023.
