Support Anies, Labor Group in Bogor Wants the Ciptaker Law to be Revised and Revoked
The future presidential candidate Anies Baswedan met with workers' groups in Bogor, West Java. This labor group hopes that Anies will become president and review the Job Creation Law (UU Ciptaker).
"The root of our problem is because of the Job Creation Law, sir. Later, please repeal or revise the Law," said the Head of the Bogor Regency Mining Chemical Energy Factory Workers' Union (SP-KEP), Mujimin, in a press statement delivered by Anies Baswedan's team to journalists, Saturday (22/7/2023).
Anies made a visit to Bogor Regency this afternoon and listened to complaints from workers consisting of 14 trade unions in this area. Anies noted their grievances and was determined to fight for the fate of the workers, according to a press statement from Anies' team.
"We brought notes and track records while on duty in Jakarta. So we didn't just make promises. God willing, we will solve all (worker's) problems if we are entrusted with leading this Republic," said Anies.
Wawan Winahadi, Head of Research and Development of the Indocement Workers' Union (SP-Indocement) emphasized that he and his colleagues had high hopes for Anies Baswedan. Because of that he wants Anies to win in the 2024 presidential election.
"Because we see that only Pak Anies is proving to be pro-laborer. When Pak Anies became governor of DKI, Pak Anies was the only regional head in Indonesia who dared to raise the UMP," said Wawan.
Wawan hopes that Anies Baswedan's partiality towards workers when he became Governor of DKI will be continued throughout Indonesia, especially in Bogor. He complained that the condition of workers in Bogor was far from prosperous. The health services they get are still very minimal.
"We want that if Pak Anies later becomes president there will be laws directly related to workers' health. The presence of BPJS Kesehatan is currently not optimal," hoped Wawan.
The labor elements present at the meeting with Anies were the National Workers' Union (SPN), Aqua Group Workers' Union (SP-Aqua), Indocement Workers' Union (SP-Indocement), Garment and Textile Factory Workers' Union (SB-Gartek), Workers' Union/ Tobacco Cigarette Factory Workers, Food and Beverages(SP-RTMM), Online Workers/Labor Union (SP-Speed), Mining Energy Chemical Factory Workers' Union (SP-KEP), Indonesian Muslim Workers' Brotherhood 98 (PPMI 98), Metal Energy Metal Factory Workers Union (SB- LEM), Bogor Labor Forum, Women Labor Forum, Metal Machine Factory Workers UnionElectronics (SP-Lemonik), Public Transport Sub Unit Working Group 05 (KKSU-05), and the PHRI Union (Republic of Indonesia Hotel Association).
Dukung Anies, Kelompok Buruh di Bogor Ingin UU Ciptaker Direvisi-Dicabut
Bakal calon presiden Anies Baswedan menemui kelompok buruh di Bogor, Jawa Barat. Kelompok buruh ini berharap Anies menjadi presiden dan meninjau ulang Undang-Undang Cipta Kerja (UU Ciptaker).
"Akar masalah kami karena Undang-Undang Cipta Kerja, Pak. Nanti tolong apakah dicabut atau direvisi UU itu," kata Ketua DPC Serikat Pekerja/Buruh Pabrik Kimia Energi Pertambangan (SP-KEP) Kabupaten Bogor, Mujimin, dalam keterangan pers yang disampaikan tim Anies Baswedan kepada wartawan, Sabtu (22/7/2023).
Anies bersilaturahmi ke Kabupaten Bogor di sore ini dan mendengarkan keluhan dari para buruh yang terdiri dari 14 serikat pekerja di kawasan ini. Anies mencatat keluhan mereka dan bertekad memperjuangakn nasib buruh, demikian keterangan pers dari tim Anies.
"Kami membawa catatan dan rekam jejak saat bertugas di Jakarta. Jadi kami tidak hanya berjanji. Insya Allah semua masalah (buruh) akan kita bereskan jika dipercaya memimpin Republik ini," tegas Anies.
Wawan Winahadi, Kabid Litbang Serikat Pekerja Indocement (SP-Indocement) menegaskan bahwa dia bersama rekan-rekannya berharap banyak pada Anies Baswedan. Karena itu dia ingin Anies menang pada Pilpres 2024.
"Karena kami melihat hanya Pak Anies yang terbukti berpihak pada buruh. Saat Pak Anies menjadi gubernur DKI, hanya Pak Anies satu-satunya kepala daerah di Indonesia yang berani menaikkan UMP," tegas Wawan.
Wawan berharap keberpihakan Anies Baswedan pada buruh saat menjadi Gubernur DKI dilanjutkan di seluruh Indonesia khususnya di Bogor. Dia mengeluhkan kondisi buruh di Bogor yang jauh dari kesejahteraan. Pelayanan kesehatan yang mereka dapatkan masih sangat minim.
"Kami ingin jika Pak Anies nanti jadi presiden ada UU yang terkait langsung dengan kesehatan buruh. Kehadiran BPJS Kesehatan saat ini belum maksimal," harap Wawan.
