So sad... The road project in Muara Baru in the Ahok era has been stalled for years
The road elevation project in the Muara Baru area has been left stalled for years. The project, which is located at Jalan Muara Baru Ujung, the Pump Building, RT 19/RW 18, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, is quite concerning.
It is known that this road elevation project is one of the remnants of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok when he was still the Governor of DKI Jakarta. It was reported that this project was halted after Ahok stopped serving in the Jakarta administration.
Based on detik.com's observations at the location, Tuesday (13/6/2023), this one stalled road project stretches from near the water gate to the community hall of RT 019 (before the bridge).
The road as a whole is approximately 8 meters wide. However, half of the road is (approximately) 30-40 cm higher than the other side.

The width of the road that has been raised is approximately 6 meters, made of concrete and looks to be in very good condition. While the remaining 2 meters are also made of concrete but the surface feels very bumpy.
Even so, the condition of this project looks quite pathetic. Because the side of the road that has been raised has been converted into a parking lot and is filled with illegal buildings.
Even at one point along the road, you can see a lot of piles of garbage. It seems that the local community has used this point as a garbage disposal site.
Outside of that, it looks like there are no cars entering this road. This is because the rest of the road which has not been raised is more or less only suitable for one car but many motorbikes are parked on the shoulder of the road. As a result, four or more wheeled vehicles cannot pass.

Proyek peninggian jalan di kawasan Muara Baru, dibiarkan mangkrak selama bertahun-tahun. Proyek yang terletak di Jalan Muara Baru Ujung Gedung Pompa, RT 19/RW 18, Penjaringan, Jakarta Utara ini cukup memprihatinkan.
Diketahui proyek peninggian jalan yang satu ini merupakan salah satu sisa peninggalan Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok saat masih menjabat sebagai Gubernur DKI Jakarta. Dikabarkan proyek ini terhenti usai Ahok berhenti menjabat di pemerintahan Jakarta.
Berdasarkan pengamatan detikcom di lokasi, Selasa (13/6/2023), proyek jalan mangkrak yang satu ini terbentang dari dekat pintu air sampai mendekati balai warga RT 019 (sebelum jembatan).
Jalan itu secara keseluruhan kurang lebih memiliki lebar sekitar 8 meter. Namun setengah bagian jalan lebih tinggi (kurang-lebih) 30-40 cm dibanding sisi lainnya.

Lebar jalan yang sudah ditinggikan kurang lebih sekitar 6 meter, terbuat dari beton dan kondisinya terlihat masih sangat baik. Sedangkan 2 meter sisanya juga terbuat dari beton namun permukaannya terasa sangat bergelombang.
Meski begitu, kondisi proyek ini terlihat cukup mengenaskan. Sebab pada sisi jalan yang sudah ditinggikan itu malah dialihfungsikan sebagai tempat parkir dan dipenuhi bangunan liar.
Bahkan di satu titik di sepanjang jalan itu, nampak tumpukan sampah yang sangat banyak. Nampaknya masyarakat sekitar menjadikan titik tersebut sebagai tempat pembuangan sampah.
Di luar itu, terlihat tidak ada mobil yang memasuki jalan ini. Hal ini dikarenakan sisa jalan yang belum ditinggikan kurang lebih hanya muat untuk satu mobil namun banyak motor terparkir di bahu jalan. Akibatnya kendaraan roda empat atau lebih tidak bisa melintas.
