Most of us use the social media platform Facebook to reach them anytime and anywhere. Yet one day, there is something like a glitch to sending a request without your clicking it but for one to stalk them for the purpose!

"The h*ck, what is wrong with you Facebook?!" Irritated user

In Shahid (2023) the original story the latest bug issue of the Facebook user who's browsing a profile will instantly send a friend request. It's unknown to others what is happening on May 12, 2023, that trend on Twitter by Oliver Cragg.

He conveyed the "umm.. you might want to avoid clicking on user profiles on Facebook for bit. It's auto-sending friend request." With attach video proof to demonstrate the situation in Facebook's recent problem.

Facebook has not commented on the subject either, and he recently checked for an app update and saw that his phone is already using the most recent version. Considering how many others have been experiencing this problem, he feels that the problem is an anomaly.

Technically is now fixed the issue. Thanks to Cybernews that reveals Facebook glitch problem.

According to statistics from an OnlineDoctor study on social stalking actions roughly 74 percent of people have admitted to glancing at their crushes' social media profiles, and they did it at least once a day for around half of them.

Unsurprisingly, Facebook is the most popular social networking platform to snoop on. The top three are completed by Instagram and Google search.

The controversial habit is something that not everyone will admit to engaging in, but our Cybernews research team had little trouble checking the hypothesis out on one another.

Cybernews has confirmed that this Facebook bug exists after testing out several distinct situations.

Finally, they found out that the friend request settings are set to "everyone" under the platform's privacy settings on Facebook asks “Who can send you friend requests?”. It triggers the friend request action. On the other hand, the Cybernews team experimented with the privacy setting and discovered that "friends of friends" Facebook accounts did not automatically send a friend request to the person whose profile was being viewed by the team.

Moreover, the situation was discussed with us by a Meta spokesperson who follows said, “a recent update to the Facebook app briefly caused Facebook friend requests to be sent mistakenly. We’ve stopped this from happening and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”

Now after reading this, you may check your privacy settings and fix them right away.
