The Governor of Bali, I Wayan Koster, claimed that his attitude of refusing the Israeli National Team (Timnas) to compete in the 2023 U-20 World Cup championship, received support from a number of Balinese people. 

Therefore, the man who also serves as Chair of the PDI Perjuangan DPD for the Province of Bali expressed his gratitude to the people of Bali who understand his attitude. 

"For my attitude as the Governor of Bali in rejecting the presence of the Israel Team in the FIFA U-20 World Championship, I thank the people of Bali who have understood and supported my attitude, and appreciate those who disagree with my attitude," he said in a broadcast. pers,Thursday (30/3/2023). 

According to him, even though there are different views on this issue, the community must continue to foster togetherness and unite to keep Bali safe and conducive.

Koster said that basically he did not expect FIFA to write off Indonesia as host for the 2023 U-20 World Cup. 

His attitude of rejection was solely against the Israeli national team, not at the U-20 World Cup.
