The Revealing of Teddy Minahasa Figure in the Trial: Has a Special Relationship with Linda to the point of being Called Vengeful

The trial of the defendant in the methamphetamine distribution case, Inspector General Teddy Minahasa, which was held at the West Jakarta District Court, Monday (27/2/2023), again revealed new facts.

During the trial, it was discovered that Teddy had a special relationship with another defendant, namely Linda Pujiastuti alias Anita.

This was revealed after Chief Judge Jon Sarman Saragih asked Linda about her relationship with Teddy Minahasa.

Receiving this question, Linda answered that she and Teddy had a special and special relationship for a long time.

"So I knew 2013 when I was working. After that we didn't communicate, I communicated again in 2019," said Linda as the crown witness in the trial of defendant Teddy at the West Jakarta District Court (PN), Monday.

Linda revealed that her acquaintance with Teddy took place when he worked at Hotel Classic as a guest relation officer (GRO).

"GRO, for example, if a guest orders a massage, it goes through me first, then I throw it behind (the therapist)," said Linda.

Teddy is called vengeful
Besides his special relationship with Linda being revealed, Teddy's character was also revealed in the trial.

Another defendant, AKBP Dody Prawiranegara, called Teddy a vengeful person.

This made Dody afraid of Teddy so he wanted to exchange the 5 kilograms of methamphetamine for alum.

"He is vengeful, Your Honor, I'm afraid. I'm almost depressed," Dody said in court at the West Jakarta District Court, Monday.

Hearing this confession, Judge Jon asked the reason why Dody was afraid.

To the panel of judges, Dody stated that Teddy had a perfectionist nature and was one of the richest Regional Police Chiefs in Indonesia according to the State Administration Wealth Report (LHKPN).

"Then he was a former assistant to the Vice President, his network is extensive, the fastest general. I'm afraid he's only (ranked) AKBP," said Dody.

Regarding the exchange of 5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine for alum, Dody admitted that the action took place in the office of the Bukittinggi Police Chief, West Sumatra.

Dody explained that the methamphetamine evidence from the arrest of the two suspects at the Bukittinggi Police Headquarters was originally kept at the Bukittinggi Police Headquarters Command Center.

Then, Dody asked his confidant to move the methamphetamine to his room.

"After all (the members) left, I called Syamsul Ma'arif. I said the evidence was there, I said there was no need for a lot of 5 (kilograms) (exchanged for methamphetamine)," said Dody.

Syamsul also exchanged methamphetamine weighing 5 kilograms from the 41.4 kilograms of evidence with alum, which was in his office at the time.

"So he exchanged it in my office, the Bukittinggi police chief," said Dody in court.

Dody denied exchanging methamphetamine with alum in order to get promoted

Regarding the act of exchanging methamphetamine for alum, Dody denied that he did it to get promoted to become the chief commissioner (Kombes) of the police.

Dody admitted that he had obeyed an order to exchange methamphetamine for alum as a form of loyalty to Teddy Minahasa, who at that time was his leader.

"Nothing at all (selling methamphetamine to get promoted), because I have never asked for a position to be here and so on, asking for failure," said Dody.

Apart from that, Dody also admitted that he did not receive any wages after selling methamphetamine on orders from Teddy Minahasa.

"Did you yourself get a bonus from the (methamphetamine) money?" asked the Prosecutor in court.

"I didn't get anything sir, I got the bad luck, sir," Dody said to the prosecutor.

Dody admitted that he took the money from selling methamphetamine to Teddy's house, but this was denied
After successfully selling the methamphetamine obtained from the confiscated goods, Dody delivered the money from the sale to Teddy Minahasa's residence in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.

Dody admitted that he brought Rp. 300 million in cash which was exchanged for S$27,300 from the sale of 1 kilogram of methamphetamine which was entrusted to Linda Pujiastuti.

Dody admitted that he put the money in a brown batik paper bag. Arriving at Teddy Minahasa's house, Dody headed to the living room.

"I entered the far right (living room), sat down. There was tea in front of me, I put my money in front of the table. The defendant's brother sat there wearing a bright red shirt, with white shorts," said Dody.

At that time, said Dody, Teddy Minahasa stood up and took the money from selling the methamphetamine he had delivered.

However, Dody's statement that Teddy received money from the sale of methamphetamine was denied when the panel of judges asked him to object.

Teddy admitted that Dody had brought a paper bag containing S$27,300 in cash or Rp.300 million when he came to his residence in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta on 29 September 2022.

However, Teddy claims he did not take the money.

"I object to the testimony of the witness who said he handed over the money to me," said Teddy during the trial.

"But I said (to Dody) 'brother bring it back'," said Teddy.

To prove his words, Teddy said he had handed over the CCTV camera footage at his house to the investigation team.

The code for "basic necessities from Padang" sent by Inspector General Teddy to Linda was revealed
Teddy Minahasa has a special term for methamphetamine, namely "basic food from Padang", for his colleague Linda Pujiastuti.

To uncover this fact, Chief Judge Jon initially asked Linda about the term "basic food from Padang".

"Whose term is basic food from Padang coming from?" Jon asked Linda in court.

"My term is when chatting with the defendant (Teddy Minahasa). My terms are groceries, invoices, and gallons," Linda answered.

Linda admits that this term is often used by Teddy Minahasa when communicating about shipping methamphetamine from Padang, West Sumatra to Jakarta.

She also used this term, Linda continued, when communicating with another defendant, namely the former Kalibaru Police Chief Kompol Kasranto.

"I said, 'Mas there are groceries from Padang that have arrived', I said," said Linda imitating her conversation with Kasranto.

Meanwhile, according to the prosecutor in his indictment, Teddy was proven to have collaborated with AKBP Dody Prawiranegara, Syamsul Maarif, and Linda Pujiastuti (Anita) to offer, buy, sell, and become intermediaries for the distribution of narcotics.

The narcotics being sold were the result of smuggling confiscated goods weighing more than 5 kilograms.

During the trial, it was revealed that Teddy asked AKBP Dody to take the methamphetamine and replace it with alum.

Initially, Dody had refused. However, in the end Dody agreed to Teddy's request.

Dody then gave the methamphetamine to Linda. After that, Linda handed over the methamphetamine to Kasranto to then sell it to drug dealers.

In total, there are 11 people suspected of being involved in this drug distribution, including Teddy Minahasa.

Meanwhile, the other 10 people were Hendra, Aril Firmansyah, Aipda Achmad Darmawan, Mai Siska, Kompol Kasranto, Aiptu Janto Situmorang, Linda Pujiastuti, Syamsul Ma'arif, Muhamad Nasir, and AKBP Dody Prawiranegara.

Teddy and the other defendants were charged with violating Article 114 Paragraph 2 subsidiary Article 112 Paragraph 2, in conjunction with Article 132 Paragraph 1, in conjunction with Article 55 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

"Jadi saya kenal 2013 waktu saya bekerja.

"Kemudian beliau mantan ajudan Wapres, jaringan beliau luas, jenderal tercepat. Saya takut cuma (berpangkat) AKBP," ucap Dody.

"Setelah (anggota) keluar semua, saya panggil Syamsul Ma'arif.

"Saya masuk paling kanan (ruang tamu), duduk.

Awalnya, Dody sempat menolak.

Teddy dan para terdakwa lainnya didakwa melanggar Pasal 114 Ayat 2 subsider Pasal 112 Ayat 2, juncto Pasal 132 Ayat 1, juncto Pasal 55 Undang-Undang Nomor 35 Tahun 2009 tentang Narkotika.
